The idea is to avoid intoxication. There’s nothing inherently evil about -OH and lots of common ingredients probably have some measure of alcohol in them.

So if after heating the final content of alcohol is 0.5% then it’s okay versus
final alcohol content of 0.5% which has not been heated.

No as per the information given, it was originally 0.5% which was later heated and considered to be evaporated. Again, i avoid it unless no other choice.
