What combinations of Pulao do you like?
eg, Pulao with raita only, with salad , with shami kabab, with koftay salan etc .. there are endless combinations. What combination do you enjoy the most with pulao?

My all time favourite combo is chicken pulao rice, palak gosht, dahi pakoriyan and salad, always tastes so good and I just love this combo. Koftay ande are also nice with chicken pulao rice but palak gosht just hits the spot for me!

Actually mix Zarda with Pulao (in the ratio TLK mentioned) its heavenly combination.

Will have to try. I thought it was only Gugraatis who mixed sweet with saalan. 
Pilao with chapli kabab and aloo gosht, raita/salad. Sigh. I love pilao.
Maybe it’s more common in them, but UPians do that too. My dad’s favourite meal during summer was Arhar kee Daal and Chawal with a slice of mango on the side. We also eat Aam kee meethi chutney with Daal chawal (just like people eat achar). Also I think kheer/gajar halwa with paratha/poori is a known breakfast in pakistan (not to mention your regular halwa poori breakfast)

Minor question - Is it pilao, palao or pulao ?
Also, are pulao and Spanish paella [pronounced pa-ae-aah], cousins ? :hmmm:

It’s Pilau.
I like chicken pilau with dahi pakoree and salad. This is my favourite meal.
My dad mixes his pilau with zarda, I thought this was only done by people from the Pind.

I’ve never tried but I totally understand mixing savory and sweet in one dish…such as halwa poori and chanay…or a meethi chutney with salans. I actually like mixing salty and sweet with some things.
