Well, obviously the diffence is clear here by these few examples. SOME FOBS have ego problems. They keep trying to catch up to ABCD’s who just, get it more.
(I’m only joking here, this topic is hilarious..

Seriously though, i think most FOBS are sweet, because back home they are taught those qualities- to be respectful and decent and hard-working. And all the other kids over there are doing the same thing…it’s just that type of environment for the most part.
But here, most ABCDS try and rebel from everything. Our parents are FOBS, and we hate it when they try and limit us, because our friends around us, don’t have certain limits (like curfew for instance..). We react to the environment around us, and don’t understand our parents and such.
but, hmm…what else is there..

Pritine- when you come here, you will be thought of as a fob. A FOB is a slang term that stands for- Fresh Off the Boat (anyone who has arrived from another country).
ABCD- American Born Confused Desi (that'd be me)
BBCD- British Born..blah blah.

Asalaam alikum....Plain and simple you suck....and what accent are you talking about????? Fobs have a bigger accent problem.....If you have a self esteem problem talking english, that is no reason to insult ABCDs......and nobody tries to prove anything to anyone by saying "hello", it's just a greeting, get over it.......

Maybe you’re the one who can’t get along with people…maybe you are the one who has made an opinion on people without getting to know them first…and who says that Fobs are smarter and more responsible, show me some facts, i’m not saying one is smarter than the other group…just don’t make a judgement on a whole group of people, without getting to know each of them…

I don't have a problem with ABCD's most of my cousins are also ABCD..

Well this is a classic.No,I dont have a self esteem problem talking english but even if I could'nt speak english and just urdu or punjabi for instance,I still would'nt have a problem.But thats where my upbringing comes in get it?As far as abcd's go,you think just because you were born or raised in the "United States of A$$holes",that means you've got higher self esteem or whatever.

I don't think of myself as anything, i don't think i'm better than anyone else, and i have nothing against urdu or punjabi, urdu is a beautiful language, but i do have a problem with people who try to act like something they aren't.....Abcds might think that they are all that, because other people make them like that......a person doesn't think like that without the help of others, making the person think that.......i know people who go back to pakistan, and just because they came from America, or that they speak english, people treat them like they they are something......they think it is so great living in America, everybody is trying to come here.....and you must of seen people in pakistan showing off, because they speak english......Abcds don't ask for it, we get that, and you can't blame us for enjoying it...right??????? We are what you guys made us, and believe me, we don't have an advantage here, you're right "American born confused desi" the key word here is confused, a person caught between two cultures, and you're a pefect example of a person who has no idea what he is talking about, and making a judgement.....
