I live in a 2-bed apartment and my flatmate has gone to India for a month and will be back in 20 days- with her PARENTS!!! They’ll be staying here for a MONTH!! I guess they’ll stay in the living area but this SUCKS. I’m so pissed off. I just have my job and one course this summer which means I dont have to spend alot of time outside. What should I do? Her parents are pretty conservative too. Oh this whole situation is making me angry now. She told me over msn about this arrangement.
Since I can’t tell her to keep her parents out - give me some ideas how to deal with it.

Plus they are brahmin so I prolly can’t even cook meat while they’re around

Don't panic just yet, maybe it won't be as bad as you think. I'm sure they won't be sitting in the apartment all day long either, they'll want to do some exploring and site-seeing so cook when they ain't there! Just ask ur flatmate in advance if they'll have problems with you cooking meat. Other than that, if it is that bad, lock urself in ur room and sing more songs for us :-D Or find an activity on campus or outside, like swimming or gym or painting/drawing etc. Good luck.
sadzz my friend does - as long as her parents are'nt around. No the thing is, I'll prolly have to leave my door closed all the time while they'll be here. And I probably won't be able to invite guests over either cuz the place is gonna be cramped. I'm gonna have a great summer! Working and hiding!!!!

Anyway, I think i'll start volunteering at this organization for stray cats. At least the furry creatures will cheer me up :(

U have every single right to cook meat or whatever u would
like to eat. If they have a problem with you eating/cooking
meat then your flatmate should have thought about that
herself. It is her resposibility not yours.
It's true that u might be bound to your room if u like privacy
but u do have equal rights to spend time in the living room.
