You had mentioned yourself that you hanging out with her caused rumors of an affair with you, she suffered a bad reputation because of you spending inordinate amount of time with her, either someone is a sister or not. I have seen like a sister or like a brother excuse used a little bit too much for my liking. Friends take care that they dont cause dishonor for a friends sister, let alone a dying friend. People like me have never used a friends death to hang with their female family members. My best friend just died and I communicate with his wife thru my female family members.
