Fitness USA Issue

Heres the long story short: Most women(including alot of muslim women) get Fitness USA memberships over any other gym because its the largest gym that had women-only days (until recently). Few months ago, FUSA decided they were gonna bring in co-ed cardio section and male trainers, on female days. Now we paid over a $1000 for a lifetime membership at this ridiculous[FONT=&quot] gym BECAUSE they had women-only days and an understanding that there are seprate days for men and women. Unfortunately, we signed a contract that says the club can change rules and regulations without any notice and bla bla bla(life long lesson learned though, never sign a contract before reading). BUT there was a mutual understanding and a verbal promise.

Anyways heres the article

And offcourse the reaction. Its unbelieveable how hateful these people are. LOL they think our intentions are not to work out but to impose sharia law on them :rotfl: and that jews are the target :rotfl:

This was expected though and general public reaction isn’t that bad.

Re: Fitness USA Issue

pathetic especially jihadwatch. i've been following that site for some time now and its amazing the amount of hatred these ppl have against muslims. truly amazing.

Re: Fitness USA Issue

didn't get chance to read all the comments, but this one is hilarious:

"Besides, this has nothing to do with privacy or workouts - it has everything to do with imposing Sharia Law upon us one step at a time"

Re: Fitness USA Issue

LoL i know its hillarious! These people think we are out there to change america into saudi arab. At first I was MAD but then I realized they are idiots, afterall we have Bush as president.

Sara lol no i am not on it yet, i want to but then i have to like register, lol too lazy

Re: Fitness USA Issue

wow, that stuff is absolutely horrific. It’s actually sad, the amount of hatred people feel, tsk.

In the future ladies, don’t ever sign up for a lifetime membership to anything … I’m not even a fan of those contracts we are forced into for cell phones … however, one comment I did agree with on that site was that the ladies should have joined a gym like Curves which is for women only, 24/7.

Re: Fitness USA Issue

^ Dang, I have a lifetime membership with Shapes, i just pay them for whichever month I wanna go.. :clown:

Re: Fitness USA Issue

Re: Fitness USA Issue

Re: Fitness USA Issue

Re: Fitness USA Issue

I used to go to Lady Of America. Okay I had membership and I never really went. hehe Lady of America is women only. However, at one point they started getting male trainers. I was soooooooooooo annoyeeeeeeeeeed. But they didnt stop that practise, and I kinda noticed that more ladies came at the time the male trainers were there. I would then start going in evening when they werent there. smack

Re: Fitness USA Issue

You shouldn't have Munni, you should have fought like we did, I mean at the end something good did come out of it.

Re: Fitness USA Issue

it’s illegal for a gym to offer you or sign you up for a lifetime memership. can’t do it..club contrats can only be for a one year term.

..secondly, you have a 10-day cooling off period, in which you can cancel the membership if you’d like for whatever reason. and don’t pay a years’ worth of payments - cause you never know when the club will go outta business..

..these rules are for canada, so you guys in the states..i dunno how it works. but it should be pretty similar..
