Re: Fitna-e-Qadriya
I agree to this extent that Muslims these days are not ‘real Muslims’. Our overwhelming majority maybe graded as hypocrites or people with low iman. We are not good Muslims, agreed. However this is a blatant lie that Muslims of today are violent and are not peaceful. I can safely speak for Pakistani Muslims who are very peaceful and are tolerant and broad minded. We do not kill people left and right because they practise a different faith from ours. How many Ismailis or Bohras were killed in Pakistan? How many Hindus and Christians were killed? Negligibly any.
Shias and Sunnis both were killed in tit for tat killing but the reason was not faith based. It was all political in the aftermath of Iranian Revolution of Khomeni which divided the ummah into shia and sunni rivals. It didn’t happen in Pakistan only, it happened in Afghanistan and Iraq also where the Khomeni led shia revolutionists tried to grab power. In other words it was a fight for power. Today shias and sunnis live together in the same communities and streets, they care about each other, attend each other’s weddings, funerals etc. I’m sure each and every sunni on this forum will agree with me on this. At least this is the harmony we see in cities.
If you talk about organised attacks on shias, then such attacks took place on sunnis as well. We both have suffered because of the ongoing regional conflicts. As a rule, more sunnis have been killed in Pakistan than any other minority sect and the reason is sunnis are in majority.
The case of Ahmadiyya or Qadiyanis is totally different. Their faith is based upon direct attack on our religion. The faith we believe in is due to one man alone whose name is Muhammad peace be upon him. Had there been no Muhammad, there wouldn’t have been any Islam on earth. Mirza Ghulam Qadiyani, may Allah burn him in eternity, attacked the very basis of Islam when he claimed Muhammad was not the only guardian of Islam. He did so because he was inspired by Devil who wants to misguide people from the way of Allah. Now what do you expect from the Muslims to treat the devotees of such a Devil like? I bet if Mirza Ghulam Qadiyani was not born in British India, but was born in Pakistan, he would have been sent to hell by any Mumtaz Qadri the next day when he claimed he was a (false) prophet and I also bet that his contemporary followers would have been fought like the Muslims fought Musaylmah the Liar at the time of the first caliph of Islam.
