Now aside from legal and … In our part of the world, girls generally trust their guardians and they are considered to be resposible for everything..just like if your lawyer prepares the deed and ask you to sign the document, now if you trust him then you may sign it without reading the details.

They have this huge responsiblity even long time into marriage… so girls feel no need to worry about anything apart from their sharara’s and gharara’s and if their make up is up to the mark or not :Pretty:

Some girls would actually. They do it in the form of polyamorous marriages.

Because it tells you that it is allowed and not haram…you never know, as they say different folks different strokes

I have heard numerous times from people that you do not need the first wife’s permission if you are to bring a new wife into the house (polygamy).

I was very happy when I found this hadith, but also disappointed that people are going around claiming that women have no say in this decision when they clearly do.

If the second wife’s permission is needed for the marriage, as the first wife’s permission was needed for her own marriage, then why is the wife’s permission not needed when her husband wishes to marry another woman?

I answer this question in a very simple manner.

1. A man is not allowed to lie to his wife (obviously not) and must not do anything of which she is not aware of, especially not marry another woman

2. Making her unhappy or upset by marrying another woman would be ridiculous to say the least. If he marries another woman without first wife’s permission, she might end up divorcing him , and leave with the kids. And God knows what else.

To sum it up, yeah he would need to consult his wife, which ever one, get her permission before he marries another woman.

Without her permission hes simply asking for trouble.

I mean come on ,some things might not be spelled out in Islam, it doesnt mean we should not use our own common sense.

See no hadith needed.
