we went from the hall to his parents house, and on the whole car ride I cried so much, and he didnt know how to react. He just kept asking me if I was ok, and held my hand. Then we went from his parents house to the hotel. When we got inside, he told me to close my eyes cause he had a surprise for me. Then he took out my mooh dekhai gift. After I finished “oohing” and “ahhing” over it, he said “I’m so hungry, I think there is a Tim Hortons (coffe shop) and Pizza Pizza downstairs, you want something?” It wasnt a romantic start, but when we decided not to eat, then his romantic dialogue started, lol.

I am surprised, you all remember how he initiated
in my case, I think, he said, Khana khaogi??
because he was so hungry.. he didn’t take a single bite.. so he brought the meal, started eating infront of me.. kept on insisting me to eat because he knew I was hungry too.. and finally, apnay hath se khana khilaya mujhay… that was so cute

hahaa thas soo funny and cute lol larkon ko aise hi jawaab dene chahiye!! this might be off the topic but when me and my fiance met for the first time, we went out for a dinner…first thing he said was “tumhare daanton main faasla hai? pictures mai to nahi lag raha tha” im like in my mind aur tum to woh ho hi nahi jo pics main the, DUH:mad2:!!!

My best friend recently got married in Pakistan and her in laws are really big on rasams and pranks etc his sisters locked themselves in their bridal suite with her and wouldn’t open the door until he slipped a hefty amount under the door. After 30 minutes of begging and bargaining they finally let him and and left them alone. Apparently the first thing he said was something along the lines of ‘bloody hell you’re expensive, this suhaag raat better be worth it’. we found it hilarious when she told us but apparently she took offence and didn’t speak to him all night.

Of course nowadays, the couple goes straight to the hotel after getting married but for those that got married in Pakistan or had the tradition where you went in the room first and hubby came in later—what was the first thing he said?

i didnt give my hubby a chance to say anything rite after he walked in i started crying, he was a little astonished and asked me y i was upset, as funny as i find it now i replied, 'cuz its all ova now the dream about a wedding and me being a bride since i was 10 and suhag raat is coming to an end and il neva b able to do it again LOL... he laughed so hard comforted me took out a whole collection of things he had saved frm 3 years of our engagement ie cards i gave him wrapping papaer the spoon i ate my first icecream with tickets to a movie even my rishta pic lol) it was the first time i felt like a baby then being pampered so that id stop crying:)

Straight after I got hitched I went out cruising with my mates, my wife waited up for me, when I arrived back to join her in the bridle suite, she was fast asleep, poor thing must have been so tired, so I gave her gentle nudge, to wake her up and as she was rubbing her eyes I told her "fatti make me dinner now, I am hungry" and chup cheeti with no emotion she listened like an obedient down trodden wife should and after little passing of time she brought up my warm freshly cooked meal and I said to her "useless garbage, you burnt my food, didn’t your mother teach you how to cook", so she went back down to make my dinner all over again, without a whimper of dissent, like an obedient down trodden wife should.

Your first night together or a marriage itself is not always a bed of roses.

But raising a couple of questions:

1. Is it tradition for the girl to be in the room first, and the groom to come in later? How come? Why can't they just walk in together? Don't get it....

2. Is it a trend or something to go to a hotel rather than the groom's parents' house? Again, how come? Why go to the hotel? Wouldn't the susaraal be offended that you're not staying with them?
