salman to open with farhat or hameed??? 4 me both r playing cricket at thier masi’s house. is it 2 late to call up tufs’ to partner salman butt b4 the 1st test commences??? as yasir and farhat have done nothing to impress anyone kai they deserve a slot in the final x1?
i’d play younis khan on current form he’s playing better cricket then some + play the left arm pacer to add some variance to the bowling attack. i wish shabeera was around cos’ sami deserves a droping yet he’ll play cos he’s the best we have at the mo’ to partner shabi… ]
razzaq play him as batsmen only as i think he just bowls for the sake of making up the numbers. i mean u only have to look at his pathetic approach to the crease to realise how much he is looking forward to bowling. play malik he’s batting well + his off spin will help danny balance the spin attack.
we need a lot of supplications to help us through each session as it’ll be as tormenting as bush’s radio address.
i dont think that Yasir Hameed will open. I think he will come one down. thats the position he likes and thats the position he played at against India (in test matches).
but they do not atleast 4 specialist bowlers especiall since akhtar sahab cannot bowl more than 4 overs at a time.
i hope that we are not killed by the Aussies...by the look of things at the practice matches... it looks like we are gonna get slaughtered like bakras at eid... i hope not though
We should replace Kamran with Younis and add Khalil to the mix. Shoaib Malik is a match winner and had been our most consistent batsman so he should stay.
My guess is Yasir will replace Imran at opening. Malik at one down. Younis after Inzi and Youhana. Kamran will be helping out with the cold and refreshing drinks.
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia vice-captain Adam Gilchrist says the world champions are wary of the danger posed by Pakistan before this week’s first test in Perth.
Australia are overwhelming favourites to win the series opener starting on Thursday after the touring side were badly beaten in their final warm-up match against Western Australia.
Gilchrist, however, believes Pakistan are an unpredictable team who should not to be taken lightly.
“All of us have seen Pakistan be hot and cold, whether it’s a tour match or an international game, so we’ll be wary of them still,” Gilchrist told Australian Associated Press in Perth.
Gilchrist singled out Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar as the biggest threat.
Shoaib only averages 40 runs a wicket against the Australians but his express pace is sure to trouble the home team on the bouncy WACA pitch.
“He’s done it to us before,” Gilchrist said. "You give him a bowling spell where he can come on, particularly with reverse swing at his pace he can take five for 20 in one spell and totally end an innings.
“So that’s an example of how dangerous they are and from what I’ve seen of their batting, their batting has that flair where they can take it away from you in a short space of time.”
I don't think Pakistan learned anything from disastorous practice matches. They will go out without any plan and be humiliated like no one. I have no hope for any win, or draw.
Anyone know where I might be able to watch the highlights of the match??
The only way to enjoy this series as a Pakistani supporter is to have low expectations. I'll be more than happy if we can draw one test and lose only two.

But its unbearable to watch your second pacer get whacked all over the ground by some club batsmen. I really wish he can learn and deliver some :(
in most of the comments everyone is commenting abt how the bowlers are going to be performing. I have said it during the indian series in australis and it's the same stil that if you want to win the match in australia, you better have some good batsmen so put up the score. and allthough we all r talking abt the damage to be done by the quick bowlers you guys forgot warne who was the best average and 2nd in the all time list to pick the wickets again pak team....just a thought there..
We are lacking in both departments batting and bowling. If we have decent bowling line our batsmen will have less of a pressure, having only one engine who needs rest after every 1 mile wouldn't take you anywhere.
I know man 4 sure dat Pak is going to get trashed. The way we trashed u in Samsung cup. There is stil a time mayb pak team can take a flight bk hme and play sme doemstic crick. Aussies r 2 stroing for Pak. Only Mighty Indians can beat them. Cheers!!!
