according to our belief, Arabic is the language of Jannat. Hazrat Adam was living in Jannat so he must be speaking Arabic, hence it must be the first language.

How can you say that Sri Lanka didn't exist at that time? Arabic is not the oldest language in the world. Hebrew existed before Arabic

At the time of Hazrat Adam a.s., was there any land-mark or territory? I don't think so. I think in recent history, it is said that Hazrat Adam a.s., inhibited to Sri Lanka

I said so, as there is a place in Sri Lanka called Adam's peak. There is also no evidence that Arabic was the first language, as Arabic got big vocabulary from Hebrew including some names of God (e.g. Rehman)

History is a better word choice than mythology. Every religion has its own share of mythology... but I guess we are talking about the birth of Sanskrit which is more of a fact than myth :)

The thread is in religion forum so scientific and factual thinking is out of the way.
Otherwise the first language is language of animals which is very basic, unsophisticated and crude. Later humans developed it according to their conditions in their respective habitat as they evolved.
No fully formed complicated language all of sudden appeared on the earth.
Different people of different faiths have right to have their opinion on the basis of their teachings, but that cannot be taken as a hard fact.
