i got a few of my own too..

firstly… if u live abroad.. almost EVERY one who is calling u outta the blue is calling u coz either..

" yar.. tum amrika mai hoti ho na.. .. mujhe bhi bula lo na"
Or

“yar apni company mei zara meri job ki bat karo na”

Or..

" Amrika se arahi ho.. Kab.. yar wo zara pyjama ( seriously some one asked for a pyjama).. aur wo hair styling products waghera hoti haina.. wo hair dryer, straightner, aur wo curler.. yar wo cheezain laity ana raste me dubai mai jab ruko gi to" Bhoolna nahi..

sometimes im glad im living in UK, where people dont have to think about insurance etc...in an emergency....that must be so horrible

im still a student and people expect me to know about all their health problems and what medicines they should take for it…I havent even done my training yet :bummer: but its funny how they expect me to know everything when i havent even finished my degree yet …although i only have couple of weeks left :slight_smile:

yeah but in UK.. NHS is a disgrace, not just my words, ask practitioners, patients and all. I am a brit nd all but in general Uk hospitals just cant compete

people judge too quickly based on profession, looks and habits

they look at me you know druggie, alcoholic, gambler, dealer, ... and think oh is ka toh kirdaaar theek naheen hai..

sheesh, what gives :(

I know its not perfect....but for the less well off people who cant afford insurances etc...its a good alternative. at least they wont be left dieing if they dont have the money (which is the case in some countries).

Im a healthcare professional myself...i know how things are.....im talking about the less well off people...who would otherwise die in an emergency....for example heart attack etc.

but I dont think the NHS is as bad as people make it out to be...the media just makes everything seem much worse than it is....NHS does spend money on the right stuff...(in my opinion)....and its not easy decisions which they have to make.

Friend of mine, back home in pakistan worked at the Steel Mills
And a mohallay ki aunty ACTUALLY asked him

thats so funny…some desis are so desperate…one time we went to the masjid to go read jummah namaz and this aunty started asking my sis…who has 3 daughters. and her eldest is 13 yrs old…:hoonh:

One day my brother, my mom and I were sitting in the living room. And my brother goes did u apply to any jobs...i said ya I applied to starbucks online. And my mom goes " thu saday ghar day pechay walay starbucks jakay apply kar lay" (cuz we have a starbucks behind our house)....lol....I am like I don't want to make coffee I want to work in their offices...
