working at the bank is funny, I was at citibank and anytime older ppl would ask me were I worked and I told them, they say oh yes, which branch are you in, aray bhai, I work in the corporate offices u know uncle woh oonchi waali bldg.

a good pal of mine is a director at mcdonalds corp. I can imagine the questions he gets.

Same thing happens to me, When i tell that I work at a bank, The first question I get is which branch? and even thought after telling them 10000 times that I am software developer, Their question is, so you are a teller?

One of my uncle’s asked me that he wants to open a checking account so what kind of disocunt would he get through me?

Just because me and my wife studied at same University at just about same time (the year i was passing out she was in first year) and because she is not from the family, we have to listen many times:

• "miltey" tu hooo gaay tum loog pehley say (i wish :) !!!)
• acha chupaoo nahi, aisa tu HO HEE NAHI SAKTA k na miltey ho

khair i dont mind listning all this as this sound sweet to my ear :)

That happens ALOT in masjid…every other day an aunty would come and ask you all kinds of questions, even your address :halo: ..quite annoying, when you are trying to listen to the lecture.

Actually here in CZ I have seen it as a common practice to put Educational title

Ing (Engineer of 5 years studies) or MuDr (Medical Dr) .. Dr (PhD) or Mgr (Normal 3/4 years graduate), JuDr (LL.M).

I prefer not to use any title, I just wondering what should I put ?

2. Yaar tunay PhD kee huee hay computer may, yeh MS-Word kay Macros to bana day mujhay.
3. Tussi compotar santist ho, yaar eh wee koee kam ay, plastic dee takhti tay … tik tik kar kay paisay mang day ho lakhaaan (it happened to my brother infront of me in Pakistan, when he was selling his Accounting software to a Mill owner in Faisalabad).
