A 17 year old has been going through puberty for at least 4 years. He’s probably done a lot more bad things to him than this girl could possibly do to him.
Anyways, to the OP…is this a date or are you guys just hanging out together? If it’s just hanging out, ummm no need to flirt 
What are you trying to achieve towards the end of this date? A boyfriend? You can’t lie to yourself and call it a hangout when in reality you want to date. So don’t be one of those girls that sleep around under a hijab but still get respected because they wear a hijab (an extreme situation, I know, but just trying to make a point here). Also, unless the guy himself has given an indication of it as a date (yes, call it a date if it is a date. Don’t try to mask it with words), then if you try to flirt him, the so called bad year you’ve mentioned might just stretch out even more.
If this is truly hanging out, just watch the movie, eat popcorn and come home like the good Muslim girl your proclaim to be.
