Things must be really bad for PML (N) and Sharif brothers to go against what they had agreed in APC. Or are the Sharif’s also following the policy of National Reconciliation started by Great Zardari, President of Pakistan?
KARACHI (APP) - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Monday that his government has constituted a committee for preparation of the National Finance Commission. Talking to media after a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the CM House here, Shahbaz Sharif pointed out that Pakistan’s prosperity, peace, tranquillity and development would be possible only when all the four provinces deal with their problems like a family on the basis of merit and justice.
To a query on the Fata situation, the Punjab CM said it was very complex. He pointed out that the only way to uproot extremism and militancy warrants all the four federating units to sit together and chalk out a national strategy with the federal government in order to the steer the country out of this crisis.
Shahbaz said in his meeting with Syed Qaim Ali Shah, there was an agreement on various issues including the Senate elections. He pointed out that the country was facing 5000MW power shortage and there was full agreement and no differences on the construction of Bhasha dam. He questioned those who ruled the country for 8 years with “danda” as to why they did not construct Bhasha dam. He said that full support should be given to the NWFP government so that peace could be restored in tribal areas.
Our Monitoring Desk adds: Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad at Governor House in Karachi on Monday, reported a private TV channel. This was the first direct contact between PML-N and MQM after a period of about 10 years. It may be mentioned here that in the All Parties Conference held in London in 2006 under the chairmanship of Mian Nawaz Sharif, it had been decided through a unanimous resolution that no political party would maintain any contact with the MQM. After this resolution, today’s contact between the two political parties was considered to be of very high importance.
He Met with the governor of Sindh, Now as far as i understand, Governor and President of Pakistan cannot be associated with any political party.

I wonder what happed to the "unanimous resolution" of APC under Nawaz Sharif? so much blame for Mr !0 Percent for not fulfilling the agreements/promises by NS :)

The Sulaiman Taseer has openly and officially said that he will turn Punjab into the fortress of PPP, and that is after his appointment as governor of Punjab.
On the other hand, the governor of Sindh never made any public statement of such kind. Shahbaz Sharif has met him, he is Number 2 ( or thats what i think about him) in PML (N) but is Dr. Ishrat a high ranking MQM Official?
On the second note, PPP who use to call PML(Q) a Qatli league, is looking forward to make alliance with them... so what do you think of that.
Imran Khan met Farooq Sattar in one of the All parties Conf. like thing in recent past, does that solve the issues between them...
Keeping the Political culture in mind, it is to be remembered that all of these politicians belong to same family of thugs. There differences are purely on interest basis, may it be NS or somebody else, i think recently Altaf Hussain said, NS has not got any sense, have no role to play in national politics and something of that kind, now if we take this meeting between two parties then, What about MQM's stance about PML (N) haven't they changed their stance and have accepted PML (N) role..
In the end of the day, we Pakistanies are trying to make story out of no-where.... this one meeting means nothing to me, untill there are some solid foundation and/or statements comes out from both sides..
Well I was just trying to say that this should be an eye opener for people who think NS is a “farishta” or who try to proof that he is a “farishta”. Mr. 10%, Qatil League, Altaf Bhai, NS everyone is one thali k chattey battey.
You can not hide by saying “oo its a meeting b/w governor and chief minister”. You will see more “deeper relationship” in coming days btw MQM was trying to get connected with NS from day one but it was NS who “promised” not to contact MQM at any price !

^^ Anyone thinking NS or any of the politician a farishta must be living in fool's paradise.
But do give the credit to Naimat Ullah Khan ( Ex-Nazim of Karachi) and Shahbaz Sharif for actually doing some work for the country and raising the standard of performance.
Great to see this.PML has finally understood that MQM is the only force that can bring in peace to my beloved Sindh :)
It's a new trend in Pakistan to negotiate with EVILS (like Taliban in SWAT) to bring peace to the country, it may bring stability fo now but not sure if it's long term solution.

ML(N) is somewhat better than other parties. There is a difference between dialouges directly with some party and meeting with governor. Its just a formal meeting.

PML(N) & MQM have also made contact in the past for their own personal benifit, They dont care what happens to this country, only thing they cae about is their power should remain for longer so they can rob this country longer.
PPP, MQM, PML etc. all have nothing for Pakistan but to Destablize & throw it into worse Crises that it is already facing.
i have Political Parties of Pakistan , bcoz there is not a single one of them who cares about Pakistan

Firstly, a Governor is a presidential appointee. With that being said, I wouldnt be surprised if the MQM cozies upto the PML[N] because of the popularity graphs of the present regime.
Remember, the MQM has formed alliances with PPP, PML[N] and the senile dictator, basically whoever forms a Govt.
They are just Bunch of Idiots living in their own Dreams, & that day will soon come when their baseless Anti Pakistan Dream will fall apart.
