s*eriously? i never found any below 2500ish.. maybe because i was looking for something near the subway and a small commute to midtown.* my husband and i started from scratch last year, we spent 2 months in a furnished rental and during that time found an apt and bought stuff. you can google furnished rentals in nyc. also try craiglist just dont pay anyone anything till u see the apt and a proper lease agreement.
2500$ for one bedroom in Brooklyn you got be kidding me ... maximum i see 1500$ AVE-M, Coney Island where i lived last year !
