If you’re looking to be around desis, Brighton and Foster area is probably your best bet… Bay Ridge is also nice… great apartments… nice people.. loads of stores… halal meat and restaurants closeby… close to transportation. If you’re into something a lil more gorafied… I say Mill Basin, Marine Park, Sheepshead Bay… very nice, clean, suburban type areas. Bensonhurts is also awesome.Neighborhoods to avoid at all costs unless you’re a bigtime gangsta are obviously Dyker Heights, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, Crown heights, Flatlands, Coney Island flatbush etc etc. Roach and rat infested areas filled with hoodlums.

Park Slope is also a great part of Brooklyn …
