I found out right away with both my pregnancies!!!! I was lucky enough to even get pregnant and carry to term, given my fertility problems...I had like more sonograms than a person normally would (like 20+ with the twins!), so even if I wanted to keep it a surprise, I don't think it would have been possible!! LOL!!!

we didn't find out....I think I'll do the same for any future pregnancies

I wanted to know for our first. I don't think it spoils the surprise. You are surprised whenever you find out.

But maybe next time I won't.

we didn't find out the first time, but for any subsequent pregnancies iA, we plan to.

I can't deal with surprises, I find out but no one else does. I don't try to find out what it is because I have a preference of boy or girl, its just that I always read the end of the novel before getting into a novel so I guess I can't deal with not knowing. Hubby on the other hand doesn't want to know and is ok with it.

I wanted to keep the suspense first time ( I've been blessed with a gorgeous boy 5 weeks ago!!). In laws in pak were convinced we'd found out and just weren't telling them!
If I'm lucky enough to be blessed again I think I wouldnt find out again.

we found out the first time.I was too anxious to know although my husband was fine with not knowing at that time.
If we have another one,I would again want to know beforehand...:)

I found out for both of my pregnancies so I could plan better.

yep I am very much of a planner so there was no way I could function without finding out the gender!! Husband was okay with not finding out but I insisted!!!

and for next one, yep again I will find out!

I found out the first time but just like Khattichic I also had a complicated pregnancy and had scans every other week.

I won't find out for my next pregnancy though.

I had my 20 week scan yesterday, and could have found out. But we chose not to. We don't have a preference, and I'm not too keen on the whole blue for boy, pink for girl thing, so we're happy to wait until the baby arrives InshAllah.

we both preferred to keep it a surprise for the day of the birth.........

I wanted it to b a surprise for us but the signs revealed the gender to me(oh yes i believe in old wives tales) n i just knew i was having a girl..i was sure about it..so we went for a scan just to confirm and started planning..

We found out for both pregnancies straight away.

haha some people here wont agree with me but i believe in them..u can google them aswell..if ur having a boy ur bump is pointed and if its a girl ur bump is all round like a ball and flat from ahead..when u sleep on ur side ur belly weight shifts towards that side if its a boy..if its a girl ur belly weight doesnt shift towards the side..ur not attractive anymore if its a boy but ur eyes have a glow in them..if its a girl ur eyes seem plain but u have that pregnancy glow and good skin(in most cases)
Linea nigra is dark n crooked(from the belly button to the pubic bone) if its a boy and for a girl the linea nigra is light (pinkish) and straight
This am not sure about since its my first pregnancy but my elders say its true in most cases:
If its a girl the movements r like kicking if its a boy the baby mostly revolves and moves inside ur belly
Haha well these might b true might b not..this is just my belief pls dont judge me for it..apart from these i just knew from inside that its a girl(duno how and why)

I strongly believed that I was having a girl beucase I had the girl symptoms but most of the tests and people around me predicted boy and boy it was!!

I was disappointed in my motherly instinct!!!

^ at least you had some! i had none. i got brainwashed into thinking it was a boy because apart from my brother NO ONE else said it would be a girl. by the end of 9 months of hearing "its a boy, definitely, for reals", if it had been a girl, i would have been so surprised!
