Yesterday was the final day of loooooooooonggggggggggggg nine month period, I am officially a father now… i have held that baby, he is so small, and he is like .. i don’t have the words…
Few advices about the new born and for his OLD mom will certainly help..
CONGRATS!!! isnt it the most amazing feeling in the world.. having such a teeny tiny thing all dependant on u and the mrs... amazing.
what did u name him?
u will have SO MANY questions its not even funny... im sure the nurses will guide u about everything... each baby is diff so how much a baby drinks is gonna bve diff too... my newborn used to drink 3 oz mashallah.. which was way unusal but like i said.. all babies are diff... if he is on breastmilk... then like sadia said. .it wil ltake what it needs..
also.. be prepared to feed and only feed for the next month ... just be there for teh mrs cuz breastfeeding is a hard thing... and baby is not born with te knowledge of sucking.. so it takes time for the little one to get there
just be there for the woman... she will be depressed.. have the blues... even have mood swings.... just be understanding even if u dont knwo what is up.. and just support her :) tell her how proud u are of her.. and how she is so strong and can easily do this... etc
Tons of congratulations Hanibal, on your new found joy. Im a father-to-be as, and still have a long way to go, but I can find hints of the joy you experienced, in little things like first sonogram, heartbeat, etc. It sure is amazing!
Congratulations to the parents, and lots of love and prayers for the little one.
congratulations, u sure sound happy and excited.:)
is she nursing? then the baby will take what it needs, like it will cry when ever its hungry .. there is no rule on how much milk should a baby drink.
Thank you,
Yes she is nursing sometime baby takes two three sips and fall sleep and sometime it goes on and on...
What about Doctors, although doctor have checked the baby thoroughly and have said that he is healthy, but he some time snore and sneeze, is this normal?

I was feeling on the top of this world, i cannot word those feelings when i first time saw him, i just looking at him and want to be with him, something have changed i was one of those kinds ( ghoRay, Gadhay baich ker sonay walay) but now i wakes up with his single movement... it feel greats to carry him in my arms and feel even greater when he stops crying when i carry him...
We have named him Hamza,
Oh yes, she is the VIP member of our family from day one, she is getting the support i can provide, although she is trying to be as polite as possible, and let me say that, my wife is the best...
remember when we were teenagers i.e. Yajooj Majooj, ate everything, kicked every hurdle, rebel to the system of college/School etc etc.. i do remember i was one heck of a painter and my ART pieces can be seen on the walls of the School and College.. need less to say, teachers and dean was the my center of attention…
Sneezing and hiccups are very normal at this stage.
I dont know where you are, but in the US, where we are, they recommended feeding every 2 hours in the begining then slowly trnasitioning to 3 etc. My almost 6 month old now feeds every 4 hours or so.
And dont be alarmed if your little one seems full after 5-10 mins of feeding. Mine was always a fast eater and never took an hour to eat so i thought she wasnt eating enough but she was.
my baby is in the tummy and its has hiccups everyday .. its very normal :D
if u want information then the babycenter.com is a good starting site.
you can get some good books on kids ... or just google .. thats why i do.
all the best
ps. as long as the baby is gainingg weight, has daily wet diapers and looks healthy and rosy, its getting enough breast milk. Plus the regular check ups at the doctor will confirm if the baby is growing normally.
