The following are photos from my trip to the Kansai region in Japan. We visited three main cities - Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. We werent able to do everything, but we saw all the main sites - temples, palaces, gardens, castles. It was all breathtakingly beautiful and very serene! I wanted to become a Japanese princess after this trip! This is just a morsel of the trip, but I hope you can get a taste of what I experienced from these photos! The first few are of the palace gardens…in spring theyre even more beautiful!
This first one is me resting in a teahouse...they are found throughout the palace gardens. I was soo tired, we walked a lot!
Second one is me and my group...you can find Germans, Turks, Italians, Chinese, Japanese and South African Paki in this happy family! The last one is me in front of an ancient temple.
This is a really famous temple in Nara, very very old and has the largest indoor buddha. This is the place where the hole of enlightenment is. Can you spot me? And the second one is next to a giant devil. He was too big to fit into the picture!
I love these last few pictures. The first one is of Osaka Castle, the second is of an old man painting a picture of it. He was sooo cute! The third one is of the palace gates in Kyoto and the last one is some funky tree in the garden.
