I dont know how some people can live in filth I was writing in the cleanng thread and some sightings came to mind.
one of the filthiest (although quite innovative) thing I saw was at an apartment where the gusy were too lazy to do the dishes but were hungry so they would just out foil over a dirty plate and eat there.
I was narrating it to a cousin who informed me that not only had he seen the same but that, people would be too lazy to take the foil off, and then add another layer on the dirty foil to eat in the same plate.
yuck..
but then again my uncle rented a place to desi students and when the y moved it seemed like they had never cleaned the tub the toilet or the washbasin..
This friend’s friend of mine was sharing his apartment with another guy. There was more hair on the bathroom floor than on his head. I also noticed that the hair deposits would form little clusters near the edges (where the floor meets the wall). I was later informed that once every month, they wipe the floor with paper towel and thereby sweeping all the hair from the center and visible areas to the sides.
The kitchen was another war zone. That boiling doodh patti left it’s aftermath inisde each of the burners’ aluminum pans. The area around the exhaust fan was full of curry splatter. The cabinet wall against the garbage can had long dripping stains of tea bags and egg shells. I found out that one of the residents likes to eat half boiled egg while holding the egg just above the garbage can. This not only saves a clean plate but also keeps the kitchen clean !!!.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww i think i’ma throw up :yukh:
if they can’t clean their homes why dont they atleast pay somebody once in a month or somfin to clean it for them how can they live like that :yukh: and dont they have visitors???!!!
I have this thing for cleaning… and not just that but I LOVE the smell of any kinda cleaning liquid.. Fairy (dishwashing?) liquid in perticular.
I am not joking but when I go to the supermarket and spot a bottle of my fav liquid I just HAVE to open it and smell
I know that is a little over the top but I cant help it.
Anywayz, I cant live with ppl who never clean or are messy.
Once I went to a friends friend house. When I walked in, his house looked a tornado had been through all the rooms. Literally. He explained that work kept him busy, and this is often the case I find. People get too tired after work, they dont want to do anything till the weekend, and then on the weekend they wanna go out and dont want to tend to the mess.
Fraudia, have you seen girls living in such filth? I think it is relatively rare. Not because girls are superior, but because they are expected to be clean and tidy and are taught to clean up for themselves and others.
Right now I have a guest - a classmate of my son's, last year of high school, he's 19.
I provide clean clothes, food when he's at home, a warm house with many facilities. I expect him to clean his room and bathroom, make sandwiches to take to school, bring me his dirty clothes and generally pitch in. These are things I expect from my own sons, so I didn't think I was being too hard on him. But he doesn't have a clue. Slowly he's learning some things but even communication can be hard at times. Time after time I ask him to bring his clothes down to be washed. I have to remind him to change the sheets. Last night I had to go up and clean the bathroom (It wasn't filthy, he's fairly clean, but the toliet and washbasin need scrubbing!). He forgets his lunch and I feel bad but I refuse to take on that as well - I have enough to do.
Some time ago I went up and saw my plant all dead and asked him, "Why haven't you watered them" and his reply, "I didin't know they had to be watered". Well he's an all A student. I asked him if he had ever studied biology, but somehow he didn't make the connection. So I took all my plants out of the room :(
His mom told me he was incapable of doing anything. I didn't believe it then because he seemed like an intelligent person. I still don't believe but I think that woman destroyed her son's potential by spoiling him. and making him believe he wasn't capable.
I have not seen too many girls who were filthy, unorganized and messy yes, but the filthy bathrooms, kitchens and all seemed to be a majority guy issue. I dunno maybe its cuz their parents never expect them to or tell them to manage their stuff back in pakistan.
I can sympathise with you with your guest situation. My sister had one of her inlaws kid come and stay with her while going to uni. He not only kept his room filthy but would dirty up the rest of the place and never bother cleaning after himself. When told, he would throw a fit. and i mean dirty habits like pissing all over the toilet seat and just letting it be. dirty dishes left on couches after eating in front of TV, laundry piled up in his room and bathroom.
The time he stayed there was pretty interesting for them.
this sentence made me remember a classic sentence of my mother…
"jaanwar bhee kha chuknay k baad apnee jagah per kam az kam apnee dum(tail) hee phayr daytay hayn …samajh naheen aatee insaanon ko itnee tameez kiyoon naheen "
