Help me guys. I am so confused and sad right now.
I just got engaged to this wonderful, amazing, sweet, guy. We knew each other from school for 4-5 years now. I've dreamt of being with him forever.
But I just found out something and ti's bothering me.
He has curly hair. All the times i saw him he had straight, styled hair. Now i realize it's curly...and i feel like he lied to me and betrayed me.
Now I don't trust him b/c if he can hide the natural state of his hair from me..he can hide anything else right?
He's a very nice guy, educated, religious, dresses nicely, and treats me well, oh I forgot to mention, I am a rocket scientist but he wotn let me work..saying that i can study rocks at home. I tried explaining to him that i'm a rocket scientist..ntot a rock scientist, but he wont listen :(

It would be a** MUCH BIGGER** deal if the guy lied to you about his age, his education, his job, his lifestyle, his religion, his family, his already existing wife, his three kids, or if he presented a false picture of himself
If you're so worked up over an inconsistent hairstyle, I can only imagine how heart broken you'd be if you find other more serious discrepancies.
Also, I hope he doesn't feel betrayed when he sees your natural hair color, or your natural skin/face without the foundation, concealer, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, and lip gloss. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL.

Shame on all of you for making fun of this poor girl. This is indeed a very serious problem. The guy is insecure about his natural looks and wants to look different in front of her. That means he is not what he wants to be. Is it me or no one is seeing that major issue.

Her post is a bit off.
She said she knew her fiance from school for 4-5 years and saw him frequently with straight but styled hair. And she's upset because she sees him now with curly hair. And she's upset that she'll have kids with curly hair.
There are many things to consider here and it doesn't necessarily mean that the guy deliberately betrayed her or even had any intentions of betrayal.
1) Maybe the issue of hair never came up during the 4-5 years they new each other. Maybe it never occurred to him to talk about his hair.
2) Maybe the guy just wanted a change in hair style. I have straight hair. Last year I permed it and loved it. Then i got bored and wanted to go back to natural straight hair.
To find out if this is indeed a betrayal or sign of insecurity....she should talk to the guy about the issue. These things should be sorted out before marriage or potential curly-haired babies take place:)

Surely it is not betrayal, he did not hide it intentionally as such. You don't tell everyone about every crooked tooth, scar or out of place things, same applies for little things like the style of one's hair. It is neither here or there.
However, yes, for some it is a problem.
