I've tried F&L...not to be fair of course, i have light skin as it is, but thought it mite lighten some of the marks on my face...and lol, i liked the smell too for some reason! Plus, i thought it was a sunscreen also...but then i heard that it gives u spots, and thought it was making my complexion worse so i stopped...i think if u already have fair skin then there's nothing wrong with trying to maintain it...cos afterall u look best in ur NATURAL colour...so if u have tanned skin, u shud try to keep it that way, and not try to lighten or darken it...and if u have fair skin, don't try to get a tan, cos the natural colour u were born with is wot will look best on u, i think...as for the message it sends out, yes it is bad...i dunno y some ppl with dark skin wud want to get lighter...they shud keep it their natural shade and learn to love their tone...as far as bleach goes...y do guys think it's used to lighten SKIN? As far as i know it lightens the HAIR on ur skin...so yes, i use it cos i don't wanna thread or wax...even white girls use bleach, and it's not to lighten the skin...not the ones u can find easily in chemists etc anyway :)

I had to use it once, forced on me by the women at a beauty parlour in Karachi. I had no choice. I literally screamed "nooooo" but they told me to shut up and put it on me. Never again. It's amusing though, the first thing my cousins in Karachi noticed about me when they met me for the first time in over 20 years was, "M doesn't bleach, tsk". Then they went on about how they bleach twice a month at home, etc.
