I like the fact that Shah rukh teaches his kids about both religions and gives respect for his wife's religion. It shows that he really loves his wife since when you really really love someone you would never force them to convert to your religion. It's interesting how they've kept their marriage going for so long. There's obviously a lot of respect given from both sides.

You cant be half muslim and half hindu, religion is not a yoke or something. And about force, yes u cant force someone to convert to islam, but if u are married ur wife must convert to islam, otherwise he is no muslim.
