haha...it's just about the time i guess. Good luck though.
I, on the other hand need to learn the art of femininity, it'd make me a better person and a better mom I suppose.
avatar is a drawing of a skinny model called Erin O'Connor.
femininty has nothing to do to be a better person or better mom .. :)
I dun care what model is she .. all i care is "pencil sketch" .. .. once we had our sketched drawn at 11 PM at anarkali (Hafiz Milk Shake Corner) by some NCA guy. he drew them so nicely .. I lost it .. :(
Femininity as portrayed by our literature and dramas and movies is nothing but a liability on guys. Who needs a wife who is more careful about her hairdo and saree ka palloo than opening the car's door by herself. To me femininity is a good balance of verbal and body language plus emotional and physical strength to go through life as it comes her way. Sophistication with a kick ass attitude is sexier than 'oof allah meri kalaa'ee lachak ga'yee munnay ko uthaanay ke baad'.

I'm glad I think of European Literature and old school culture when talking about femininity, not necessarily the commercial 'chechor-puna' junk you read in Urdu novels or dramas. This whole pallu urana, gobi ka phool in your hair, ooh aah haye uff Allah attitude is mockery of femininity.
Like when tomboys are scolded by their mothers by saying 'behave like a girl'... so the femininity would mean to describe all those feminine qualities as per culture.
hmmm...very interesting and some very funny replies.
Jolie you stole my words, this is exactly what I was thinking.

I think if femininity is something related to being polite (as some suggested) then it'd help me. And get yourself a new sketch, in UK we have these artists living on houseboats and they draw very nice portrait for a little amount of money, I'm sure you can find something like that in US.

You clearly are not familiar with quality urdu literature to make a statement like this.
Becasue Femininty is a social/cultural concept, every culture has its own parameters of defining it.
"Hayee Allah, I cant do this" or "Hayee allah, itna bhari hai, I cant pick it up" or "zara store tak chal loo mairey saath, andhera ho raha hai" sort of zehni kafiyat.
