I have always learnt that it’s only allowed if you have to learn about the human body at school.
Other than that, it’s said that it’s not allowed. I’ve read somewhere, that even if you aren’t married, you’re still not allowed to see any video or photo even of the male genitals, unless of course if you have to for school or medical reasons.
I’ve always learnt and read that males and females shouldn’t see each others genitals, because it’s not allowed. Some of my female friends have however seen them either on tv or internet, and it wasn’t for school or medical reasons, but according to what I’ve read, it’s not allowed if it isn’t for school or medcial reasons, so they shouldn’t.
Re: Females looking at photos or videos of male genitals and vice versa
at NaMaan. You’re too funnnnnnnnnnnny!
Yes, it’s wrong and all, but why should you have the need to see anything “bad” anyway. Everyone is responsible for what they do so that’s that. So yeah.
Not allowed… where? In Islam, in society, in families?
If you’re talking about Islam specifically then when a religion does not allow two non mehrams to meet alone and tells men to lower their gaze when in company of women (and vice versa), how can it allow ANYONE to look at photos or videos of men’s private parts??? The concept of marriage in Islam exists for a reason. As for doctors and all, it is allowed for men and women BUT in only a few situations (medical is one of them).
Honestly, why do people even need to see such things?!! ew
Re: Females looking at photos or videos of male genitals and vice versa
I’m sitting here wondering for the last 20 minutes that why would somebody be sitting somewhere wondering whether it is allowed to see photos of private parts or not!
I doubt if I have ever seen one who has not seen one - if you know what I mean. Humanoids are curious by nature, they have to see everything for once. Now, your thinking is that it is not allowed (for God knows what reasons), but you cant tell me you have no idea what it looks like, right?
No, if I would like to see them for different reasons, I would. I’d admit it too. And I have also seen them once, without medical reasons and without having to learn something for school…
Most watch it, not everyone admits it…
If I want to see them myself, either of male or of female, I will just take a look. I’m not in school right now, I don’t have any medical reasons either. If I want to have a look at them, it would be for different reasons.
But I’m not afraid to admit it.
And I did google by the way, I didn’t get the answer I wanted. Asking on an Islamic website if it really is that much forbidden to have a look, is no use, because I’ve already asked a marriage question and not received an answer for that yet, might take years before they answer…
Googling doesn’t help and judging by the kind of sex related topics that other guppies have started here before, l thought maybe someone here might tell me.
I like it when people call me Aunty. Maybe I’ll ask I can have Aunty Notorious as a user name.
You used the word allowed so many times that I lost the count ..:p
A looooooooooot of things have been forbidden to me all my life. Before and after marriage. Even things other Pakis could always do, but not me.
So yes, I suppose I do use that word a lot.
By the way, you have this Superman Logo, is there some reason for that other than liking the film? Probably not. I do know, that if I would use something like that, people would start accusing me of always living in that world instead of in the real world, whenever I like or dislike something, I get trouble. I like something jsut because it's funny or because of the way something is told, a book, a movie, whatever, and people often start searching other reasons behind it which aren't even there.
You're lucky to be able to like and dislike anything without getting in trouble for it.
I"ve been asked to look at such things and I refused, and do you know what happened? People started telling awful lies about why I don’t want to see such things. I once had a friend and she did accuse me too of having strange reasons for not wanting to watch things like that, my only reason was religion and also disinterest, but she didn’t believe me. So I watched things like that with her some years ago. Then only she behaved normal towards me…
Whenever I don’t do something because of Islam, I get in trouble. People start searching for other reasons which aren’t even there.
I always do get in trouble for nothing. So, if it’s not too haram, I might as well have a look sometimes. Refusing to see those things, causes too much trouble. But if it really is too much haram, I’m not going to. That’s why I wanted to know how negative it actually is. Because I do realize it’s better not to.
You know, Hazrat Ayesha (ra) cried when she was once accused of immoral behaviour. She didn’t do anything wrong, but she was still upset because of the awful immoral accusations against her! But if I would become upset because of any immoral accusation against me, while I haven’t done any of the things lied about me, then people start saying, look, she’s upset about the accusations, that means she’s guilty, but I’m not. Hazrat Ayesha (ra) was not guilty either of the things lied about her, yet she was upset too. But nobody ever said, Hazrat Ayesha (ra) is/was upset about immoral accusations against her, so she probably is/was guilty.

I never said that. I've studied here in Europe. I've seen biology books, taken exams in school. And once a friend and I watched stuff like that on internet and tv.
When most people judge me mostly on these kind of things, nowadays, and I get comments in that sense about why I do something or why I don't do something, then what can I do...

I just kind of stuck with logo and started liking it. I like super hero movies and stuff, just for the fun part of it.
