feeling sluggish..

after three weeks of downtime from any kind of workout, I am feeling like a damn slug. I tried to jog a little bit yesterday, but couldn’t muster enough motivation to go for a power run. Getting back into shape is now looking like a gigantic task. Usually, I am good with getting back into workout routines after few weeks of break, but this time around i am feeling too unmotivated..dunno what’s gotten into me..:snooty:

jet lag.

Dude, the hardest part is getting up and going to the gym. Once your there you’ll be fine. :k:

Outy, you're getting fat! Get back into that gym.

(hey I have a brother who tells me that whenever I'm being lazy and it HELPS!)

muzna: i think you are right, today is the first day i managed to really get back to my normal routine. For the first couple of days, I felt too fatigued, and didn't feel like getting out of bed..i slept and slept. I thought i was too tough to go with as little sleep as possible during my trip, and it took its toll, perhaps...

samael; i hardly go to the gym, for now if i can just get a good sweat out through some outdoor activity, it will knock me back into senses..

shinz: i am too skinny to even think that, but i have some other motivating factors..or teasers if choose to call that..maybe i need to pull one of those out of my bag of tricks..

That is why you should go in the middle of your work day…leaving work for a little over an hour is never hard

I burnt 464 calories in 40 mins at the gym today :hula:

fems or try working out soon after your day is over..i always find it to be very refreshing to get all the stress out in the form of sweat, and it makes me all jumpy over again :D

yeah, an hour after dinner i head to the gym… if u make it ur daily routine, it all works out really well :k: its soo refreshing as well

I like to relax in the evenings. doesn't being jumpy at night interfere with ur sleep??

^ i think ur jumpy for about 30-40 minutes.. then u get this sudden rush of being tired... i always sleep really well after working out :)

Maybe thats why I feel so sleepy at work in the second half :hoonh:

^ hehe could be :)

464 is a piece of cake...literally or metaphorically. You don't need to losser weight :-D I've heard u r quite fit ;)

:hehe: losser

It’s a piece of cake??? :frowning: And here I was marvelling at my accomplishment. boohoo. But I think it works for me. Esp if I can do it 5 times a week.

and thanks to who ever made that comment and then to you for passing it on

fems, there are couple of reasons why i prefer to workout in the evenings. There's more time available for prolong sessions, and i just hate to feel tired after a long day of work. Most of the activities I like are best done in the late afternoons or evenings.

And you are right, it does alter with sleep at times, but then again, usually, I stay up quite late at nights so it works out well..

Late workouts interfere with sleep. I don't workout later than 5pm. If it gets too late for a trip to the gym, I fill up a backpack with books (atleast make it weigh 15 lbs), put on your headphones and go for a mile long walk.

Too lazy to work out in weekdays..........I usually work out on friday or saturday late evening.

im confused… am i the only noe who gets good sleep when working out late in the evening :konfused:

Re: feeling sluggish..

Im shocked. You described perfectly how Im feeling right now.

sadzz, one would feel tired and sleepy after a work out if the person hasn't been regular, or pushed too hard. And I am only stating this out of own personal experience. Usually, once I get done, for the next few hours I am quite energetic, and I think it's mostly due to the fact my workout is usually cardio based.

If I do some occasional weight lifting, then yes, it's a different feeling all together, and I feel like relaxing a lot more.

MQ-how are you feeling now, any better :D
