I see this argument quite often and while I kind of agree…it still assumes that most people who marry will be living in their own home immediately after, and that’s not always the case…some live with in laws or if they live alone, they rent… For quite a bit # of couples, owning a home isn’t an immediate priority but something that they might plan for after the wedding.
