"dangerous beauty"

Yeah, Dangerous Beauty is a good historical flick that deals with social issues. There's also Immortal Beloved. Not your typical romance, plus most of it is in German. :p

There's also The English Patient. If you want a romantic comedy, there a loads of them: Sliding Doors, Bridget Jones's Diary, Someone Like You, When Harry Met Sally, Sweet Home Alabama, etc. etc. etc.

abay, koi larKI koh pataa raha hai kya?

"love story"

10 things I hate about you
Pearl Harbour
Titanic
Shakespeare in Love
Notting Hill
Four weddings and a funeral
Love actually
Robin Hood, Prince Of Thieves
Romeo and Juliet
Grease
Dirty Dancing
West side story
Pretty Woman

'How to lose a guy in ten days'

Julia Roberts gets on my nerves for some reason, although she is the Queen of romantic comedies. I don't like her movies all that much, except 'My Best Friend's Wedding'. That was good.

the new movie, "Notebook" I have heard it is a good love story.

Oh yeah Chandbeti, that looks really good and intense!

My all time Favourite,

On Golden Pond.

Henry Fonda & Katherine Hepburn.

Its a really touching movie.

Oh yeah, a real tear jerker I hear..

Here is a review from IMDB.

The Notebook

*A short review of an excellent film!
Absolutely loved this movie. I had recently read the book and cried like a baby. Even though I was prepared for what I knew was in the book, I still cried buckets while watching the film.

The acting was superb! I've been a fan of James Garner & Gena Rowlands for years, but have become fans of both Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Their chemistry is unmatched!

I know that my teenage daughter will enjoy this film as much as I did, since she is a huge Ryan Gosling fan. In fact she was the one who told me as we were watching the trailer for the first time that we definitely would be seeing it!

The movie is very sweet and some might say predictable, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I highly recommend this movie to fans of all ages. Be sure to bring along lots of tissues!*

It is a tear jerker CB. Whenever I see the previews, I get teary eyed. How pathetic, but true.

:D

oh I bloody can't wait to cry my eyes off, been a while since I watched a heart wrenching flick

cant wait to see Notebook

Momento
Snatch
Godfather
LOTR
Hannibal Lector trilogy

and girl friend (indian version)

PS: how in earth any movie can be your favourite if you haven’t seen it yet!!!

  • a walk to remember
  • love and basketball
  • Hip Hop (i think thats what it was called hmmm)
  • 2 weeks notice
  • 50 first dates
  • Daredevil (hehe)

I need help...

Since when are Snatch, LOTR, and the Hannibal movies romances? :stuck_out_tongue:

"Shes all that" :Pretty:

so many good movies already bin told but hey dont miss to watch 'shakespeare in love' and 'It had to be you'.

Pulp Fiction

Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Scarface

*In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women. *

Heat

A guy told me one time, "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

The Big Kahoona

Well, I'll be a son of a bitch! I don't smoke, you quit drinking, Bob here wouldn't even dream of looking at another woman with lust... between the three of us, we're practically Jesus.

Casino

When you love someone, you've gotta trust them. There's no other way. You've got to give them the key to everything that's yours. Otherwise, what's the point? And, for a while, I believed that's the kind of love I had

Goodfellas

*But, I'm funny how? Funny like a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh? I'm here to furkin' amuse you? *

Blow

*So in the end, was it worth it? Jesus Christ. How irreparably changed my life has become. It's always the last days of summer and I've been left out in the cold with no door to get back in. I'll grant you I've had more than my share of poignant moments. Life passes most people by when they're busy making grand plans for it. Throughout my lifetime I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost barely enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambition far exceeded my talent. There are no more white horses or pretty ladies at my door. *

Once Upon A Time In America

*I like the stink of the streets. It cleans out my lungs. And it gives me a hard-on. *

Forest Gump

*Mama always said life was like a box a chocolates, never know what you're gonna get. *

Platoon

*Day by day I struggle to maintain not only my strength but also my sanity. It's all a blur. I have no energy to write. I don't know what's right or wrong anymore. The morale of the men is low, a civil war in the platoon. Half the men with Elias, half with Barnes. There's a lot of suspicion and hate. I can't believe we're fighting each other, when we should be fighting them. *

Braveheart

*Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade all of that from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take away our lives, but they'll never take our freeeedoooomm. *

Sleepers

*The street is the only thing that matters. Court is for uptown people with suits, money, lawyers with three names. If you got cash you can buy court justice. But on the street, justice has no price. She's blind where the judge sits but she's not blind out here. Out here the bitch got eyes. *

Raginig Bull

*I remember those cheers, they still ring in my ears and for years they remain in my thoughts. 'Cause one night I took of my robe and, what'd I do?, I forgot to where shorts. I recall every fall, every hook, every jab, the worst way a guy can get rid of his flab. As you know my life was a jab, Though I'd rather hear you cheer when I delve into Shakespeare "A horse, A horse. My kingdom for a horse" I haven't had a winner in six months. And though I'm no Olivier, If he fought Sugar Ray he would say it the thing ain't the ring, its the play. So give me a stage, Where this Bull here could rage, And though I could fight I'd much rather recite: That's Entertainment. *

Carlito's Way

*If you can't see the angles no more, you're in trouble. *

Scent of a woman

Oh, uh, Charlie - about your little problem - there are two kinds of people in this world: those who stand up and face the music, and those who run for cover. Cover is better.

Full Metal Jacket

If I'm gonna get my balls blown off for a word, my word is poontang.
