My mama. When we (my sisters and I were teens), everyone thought she was our older sister and it had less to do with her appearance and more to do with how close we were and are as friends.

:D Okay! to be very honest.... before I got married, it was my dad who was my favorite.
Now, after 6 years of marriage, I miss mom more..... I'm closer to her than I ever was... she's my favorite now :)

you know.. when i was a kid.. i would think.. .. i wonder which parent would be missed more if they died... then i would make a mental list for each parent .. like and dislike... adn the end woudl always be teh same.. both. i would miss both.. one is good at one thing and the other is good at other stuff... neither can do what the other is good at.
so my answer would be the same that was when i was younger,

When I was younger (until I was 21 and got my first proper job) my dad, because it was easier to manipulate him into buying me stuff. I really would have to put a lot of effort into persuading my mother.
Once I started working.... it's still my dad, but now it's because I appreciate the incredible role-model that he is for me.

It’s so wicked that moms are the one who’ve spent the sleepless nights, done our dirty work, taken care of us in every way possible, cried for us even when we didn’t need the tears and yet we daughters pick our daddies. My girls also love their dad more

Mama. Probably because as a single parent I think she's the most remarkable woman ever. I wouldn't ever expect my father to have done so much with such strength on his own, but not to say he wouldn't have done enough.

I can't pick. Really can't. I like some aspects of my dad's parenting style and some of my mom's. Same with their personalities.
I am closer to my mom, though. But it is easier to talk to my dad about problems. I don't know if that makes sense.

My mother, absolutely. My father couldn't be bothered, and then he was gone (divorce, not death).
Think, people: Who was there every day? Who fed you? Who cooked for you? Who got the laundry done? Who made sure you got to school on time? Who heard your every blathering word? Who knew when you just didn't understand the homework? Who took care of you when you were ill? Who made sure you were bathed and ironed? Who knew your victories? Who had the most accurate understanding of your strengths and abilities?
For me, it was Mama.
