Initially my parents were not okay with it but when they met him, they really liked him. I told my parents he had converted (yes I lied so that my parents will not feel like im going to hell forever, i have never lied to my parents before this but i had no choice here). I did not pressure him into actually converting.
my parents are actually quite happy now because before him, i was engaged to a guy for a long time and things ended quite badly with us. so they are happy that i am finally with someone who respects me and treats me well. my husband has alot of respect for my parents and always says salam to them, he has stopped eating pork because he knows i hate that smell in the house. and i respect his religion too and we celebrate christmas, easter, and he will celebrate Eid. i cannot imagine a more perfect partner.
