This is a hypothetical question.

Muslim men are allowed to marry Ahle Kitab, while not muslim women. This leaves muslim women in west with too fewer options compared to men. Such a situation hampers the Islamic duty of Nikah for women and to lead life in line with Islamic principles.

Islamic rules take into account, the circumstances. Do you think there should be a fatwa to ban or discourage out of faith marriages for Muslim men ?

Will such fatwa have any impact?

I dont think there should be a fatwa to ban out of faith marriage for men, but women should be allowed to marry non muslims as well. thats only fair. and who ever says marriage between muslim woman and nonmuslim cannot work out is simply lying . I am happily married to a catholic and we have not had any issues so far (only been 6 months though). he has no problems with even having our future children being muslim. and whoever says that it’s ok for men to marry nonmuslim because the kids will follow their fathers religion is totall BS. my own uncle married a puerto rican christian woman and their kids have no islamic ubringing at all.
