FATA now and whats next?

with US insisting taliban/alqaeda hiding in FATA area bordering Afghanistan, and mounting pressure from US to strike directly on the ground and from above.

Objecting to such move by US from start would have been better, now Pakistan seems to allow drone attacks and lately vaguely objected to ground assault. I think Pakistan shoudl firmly say and end to this self distruction path.

as If we allow more attacks and open access to US for direct ground assault.

  1. no nation actually allows such moves
  2. we will be pushing these elements to move to more deeper into settled areas, area like Swat and dir already having such elements, its will take few weeks for these few elements hiding in the area to actually migrate to other cities and towns of Pakistan.

what will happen to that hunt then? Pakistan army will not be able to fight them in whole Pakistan. will Pakistan then allow american to bomb every city of Pakistan? and thats why we have this so called massive army to defend the motherland?

Past and present government are not taking it seriously, if it continue on this path this goes to total distruction of Pakistan and when you have so many players(US, Afghan, India, Taliban, Tribals) acting under smoke screen of “war on terror” Its always going to be fishy business.
Better sort out now than later, have separate quadinating teams for each targets and follow the lead to the end and bust them.

Its only Pakistan Army and PAkistani people who are loosing this war and they are the ones who have a chance to win this war.

so what you guys think, if pak or us pound too much in FATA, will this finish the war on terror or expand it to Pakistan other areas? share your views

Re: FATA now and whats next?

I think the war will need to expand to Punjab, which is a central hub for jihadis. Otherwise it will be hard to win this war.

Re: FATA now and whats next?

next is test of our patience to see our innocent ppl killed every day

and the day we said no thats enf pls leave we are not supporting ur war

we ll be declared a terrorist state and then u know the rest

lol

** Please don't digress the thread!**

Our intelligence agencies should've known better. It is very common observation when a country is under attack people flee into neighboring states. Taliban/AlQaida were known to fight while hiding inside the population. We sided with US and made a u-turn against Taliban without controlling their influx to Pakistan, that was the worst mistake. I'm calling it mistake because our military/govt said they are fighting Taliban/AlQaida (atleast on surface). But from intelligence/army point of view it is now becoming clear that they didn't really want to exterminate Taliban/AlQ thats why they let them infiltrate/diffuse into Pakistan. And today we are paying the rewards.

Even today if our govt is sincere we MUST seal the border so that there is no line of support/aid for the resident Taliban/extremists and we continue to pound their areas. They will be eliminated with time.

Question is, how sincere are we!?

Re: FATA now and whats next?

the theory of US supporting terror in pakistan relies on the assumption that the US wants to eliminate pak nuclear assets past, present and future. all the countries who would benefit from this are in on the plan. so the confusion of a civilwar like situation will be the catalyst the US has been said to be creating in order to get an invite from the pak military to come in and 'help'. from this position they will dismantle pak defence forces to such an extent that the nuclear assets are not fired before they are on their way to a pacific island

with this theory out in the open and american attempts at reducing isi power failed the plan should have changed slightly. it remains to be seen if the plan is shelved or the goal is continued on with in some other guise.

pakistan has made it clear that they will fight back, the ball is in washingtons court

There has been way too much money invested, I don’t think plan can be shelved. Instead of Plan A they might be on Plan B or Plan A.1.a or something

Who knows if that is part of the plan too? :hmmm:

Re: FATA now and whats next?

While I certainly agree that Pakistan should not tolerate any US offensive military activity inside Pakistan, I disagree that Pakistani military action would dislodge militants to elsewhere. The conditions (sympathetic population, sympathetic population religious belief, familiarity with terrain & society, tribal structures) that allow the militants to be so active in the FATA do not exist elsewhere in Pakistan.

Re: FATA now and whats next?

ehtasab your right but since washinton has chosen this homosexual approach, it shows they are afraid of something.

You are missing one thing here, sweety!!!

It is not US insistence. It is:

  1. CIA

  2. The indians - who originally helped CIA with this plan of sending al qaeda terrorists into Pakistan's tribal areas. Also train the local jahils into acting as al qaeda agents.

and

  1. Our own educated but idiot masses who assume it is originally the tribal extremists causing terrorism around the world whereas in reality it is AL QAEDA!!! - A team of terrorists lead by OBL.

Please note that OBL is a CIA employed assasin.

Re: FATA now and whats next?

^ So if what your'e saying is true (which by the way isnt), our previous govt was living in a fools paradise for the last 8 years?

Things were much more complex in 1999-2000 than you can imagine.

I believe, most of the world now knows the general Pakistani people are NOT the terrorists which:

  1. India projected them to be through their media and by taking control of most of the international media around the world.

  2. What the indian diplomats and practically every indian in general struggled to throw the image of Pakistanis as to whoever they come in contact with around the world.

As per their original mission, they wanted whole of Pakistan to be bombed by US (because these terrorists are 'oh so peaceful people'. They do not wanna make war and lose the image of 'peace loving nation' which they struggled hard to make). But as Allah is with the land of pure and it will remain as long as it is His will. Hence they had to modify their mission to break Pakistan by getting US into war with the tribal region while the indian terrorists themselves got busy with doing everything possible to cause civil war (oh such an old dream they cant wait to fulfill). Tactics of civil war included the judiciary circus, the WAPDA troubles, the ATA and expensive living, and so much more that you cannot imagine in your wildest dreams.

At the same time, keeping the leadership / defense / Pakistani awam too busy with the GUNDD of bollywood to notice what's going on around them.

You are dealing with the crooks of the dirtiest class my friend. If you do not understand it, you are doomed.

And I would like to add:

I cannot stress enough the need for all the believers to unite against this crook nation. We need to create this awareness that Jews, Christians are the BELIEVERS.. Jemima was Jewish which makes her a believer. She did not NEED to convert to islam but shoe chose to or whatever circumstances made her do that but really she could have lived her married life following her original faith because that in no way made her a DISBELIEVER.

This crook nation (of indians) have confused all the believers so much (especially muslims because they are the ones with the least literacy rate among all the believers) and making them kill each other. Wish our stupid mullahs could understand Jewish are NOT the bad people. They are as bad as the muslims only with better education and better sense of care towards other Jewish (UNLIKE MUSLIMS who love to kill other muslims).

All the believers need to learn to live in peace because they are the people blessed with the sacred books from God. Not let ANY crooks divide them. They are even allowed by Quran to marry and make families. How dare these mullahs dictate to you otherwise?

All the believers busy killing other believers (especially muslim mullahs) and to start following QURAN. Then this situation btwn believers well exploited by crooks can be changed for the better.

Please wake up beofre it is too late and you be destroyed by them crook nation (called indians). I know I know I need to behave, right, because I am calling a whole nationa 'crook' but even if you remove these words of mine now. It will be proved in the time to come if all the believers do not mind their ways (against other believers)

Re: FATA now and whats next?

I am well aware of the crook of the dirtiest mind plaguing Pakistan for the last 8 years and have been pretty vocal about it my friend. Sadly, there were some, who even till his last minute of crookedness sided with him either because they were living in 1999 or due to ethnicity preferences.

Re: FATA now and whats next?

are these really terrorist or our own ppl

one should need to establish 1st who terrorist are and not just follow the americans and their media ranting

I would agree if you'd say 6 years. The last 6 years. Not 8 years.

FATA is a tribal area where people CHOSE to live a primitive lifestyle. They never allowed police, regular courts, and most importantly "business rules".

Thus FATA has been the center of illicit trade since 1947. Pakistanis looked the other way due to many reasons.

  1. They didn't have will to "civilize" the primitive tribals.
  2. They were afraid that in case primitive people are forced out of their lifesstyle, Soviet union will take advantage of that.
  3. Above all the badlands of FATA served both the Feds and the local Maliks run a corrupt racket of swindling Pakistani taxpayers' hard earned money.

This game of keeping primitive tribals primitive would have gone on if not for Al Qaida. Thanks to strict interpretation of Wahabi Islam, tribals have become even more primitive. The result has been terrible for FATA and surrounding areas. Girls schools have been burned down thanks to the Wahabi teachings. CD shops and barber shops have been bombed.

When the government stepped in to stop the self-destruction of primitive FATA tribals, the very tribals turned against the paramilitary and the army soldiers.

Pakistan will abandon the policing of FATA in a day if the area was not a haven of Global terror.

Pakistani society is fully supportive of tribal behavior. Poor thangs don't realize that these tribals if given a chance will turn Pakistan into a ghairatmand country just like Afghanistan.

So the areas outside FATA will continue suffering until the people stand up to the Islamist attacks.

Re: FATA now and whats next?

the best way forward for peace in pakistan is temporarily blocking the borders between itself and afghanistan. specified entry/exit points can continue to operate

Normally the mods are quick to respond ... Captain you there .... helloo ....... but i guess they have cut you some slack as they feel you have some improtant views to share. Honestly if i were i mod .... i would have made your post a sticky in the fun section...... anyway

Coming back to your views i think you are giving way too much of " credit" to the Indian's ..... they have brainwashed CIA.......... they have brainwashed international media ...... they have brainwashed the militants ........ WAPDA (whatever that is) ...... the judicary .... hmm .

So you tell me who is left to brainwash in Pakistan ....... or are you saying that there is nothing left to wash !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pakistanis looked the other way because they were buying cheap goods at a fraction of the price.....You should take a trip to the illicit trading centres and see how many ofthe cutomers are non-tribals....

Re: FATA now and whats next?

Men come on. I am a tribal. They were better than the docile peasantry of Punjab and Sindh.

This tribal model cannot expalin other things e.g. how a jehadi project was run in Kashmir between 1988 to 2002 till a troops build-up by India and pressure by US. And I disagree with Mad Scientist.

Actual problem is in Rawalpindi which has chosen a path of confrontation rather than adaptation to requirements of a new regional order under a new international system.

Now it seems change will come very hard way.

And don't shift the responsibility of the whole mess of 60 years to poor people of FATA who cannot locate America on the map. Further, all the architect of Jehad from Zia to Hamid Gul, Lt Javed Nasar, etc. have been non-Pshtuns. The hardcore Jehadi ideologues is in plains than the mountain.
