Being from that region and witnessed many american activities in Afpak/Pashtunistan region, I can say you are right, American Plan if is far deeper than getting rid of terrorism. The people of Afpak are cooperating with Americans and are convinced that their interests and American intersts for time being are very much similar. Or the interest of the people of Afpak contained in the larger American interests.
