According to my horoscope,chicken or Hen is my Astrological Bird.So I do not eat Chicken. :)

I am one of the best Beef eaters on G.S :)

So not all Hindu’s hold cows sacred?

Also i prefer goat meat or deer meat as the best.

But to be honest i will eat a lot of things and am not very fussy, but to be honest for a tribesman i was always berated for my fondness of rice

My elders would be doing this right now

But asside to roast meat rice is my favourite food. :k:

^ Cow is regarded as holy because it is used for various rituals and also cow products such as Milk ,Cow dung,It's urine etc... Again by products like Butter,Ghee etc... Nowhere in any of the Hindu texts it is barred from eating citing holy reasons,or it being sacrosanct

I love Biriyani..... Like Beef and Mutton.... :)

But generally Hindus do not eat Beef.But if you happen to travel to kerala,each and every hotel there will offer you Beef.Those hotels may be run by Hindus ,or Muslims and Hindus will be the biggest Beef eaters.
but in karnataka ,Andhra or T.N you will seldom see Hindus eating Beef..

North indian Hindus keep a strict abstinence from it................

Thanks so much for the information, it’s made it tempting for me to visit Kerela now…

I have never really gone beyong Ajmer or Lucknow… Would make a change to visit Kerala some day.
