Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
Is it possible to “forget” to press the button? Maybe you have other pressing engagements?
PS Ethan can be forgiven. He had some trouble with the rules and procedures.
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
some one can forget some of the time, and some one can forget all the time, but all of them cannot forget all the time

Poor batting technique.
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
awesome bowling technique ![]()
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
The key to bowling appears to be to sneak that ball in before batsman is ready
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
How did you guys calculate 141 points for Shapoor Zadran. took 4 wickets at an economy rate of 3.8. My maths says 122.8
Wicket Points: (Wickets * 20) + (((5/Economy Rate)-1)*40)
4x20 + ((5/3.8) -1) x40)
80 + ((1.32-1) x40)
80 + 0.32 x40
80 + 12.8 = 92.8
or 92.8 + 30 (bonus points for 4 wickets) = 122.8
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
And why not keep it simple like (wickets x25) X (6/Economy rate)
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
last moment i changed my trump from AB to Amla ![]()
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
that innocent guy got 18 batting points
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
Bonus Points:
Also equal credit (30 bonus points) for 50 runs and 4 wickets seems unfair to me. It is more difficult for a bowler to take 4 wickets than for a batsman to score 50 runs (very common) in an ODI match
250 runs by a batsman should carry the same weight as 8 wickets by a bowler, both very very rare
200 runs = 7 wickets, very rare
175 runs = 6 wickets
150 = 5 wickets
100 runs = 4 wickets
50 runs = 2 wickets
Maybe we could come up with a better bonus points system (which rewards good bowling and batting performances equally) for next time
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
Thanks, forgot about that
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
18 points for his batting and then rounding off
122.8 + 18 = 140.8 = 141
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
because if bowler does not take any wicket but still bowls at least say 2.50 economy rate, he wont get any points with your equation even though he bowled really good.
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
Thanks
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
Yeah we can review bonus system next time sure :k:
Re: Fantasy Cricket for World Cup 2015
That’s a good point.
but why not make it simpler… (wickets x 20) + (8/Economy rate x 20)
what’s this minus 1 x40 business
(ps. chose 8 because bowlers can sometimes go for 80-100 runs in 10 overs)
