Then why my position dropped to 27 from 25 (it was 27 in morning AFTER updates), when I checked later it dropped to 27

On the other hand, our fearless leader may be using the passive investing approach - to show that a randomly generated team beats 80 pct of active funds or players.
Can’t fault him for this tried and true approach.

The 1 per centers never find out abt this new rule. It is those in the middle, working 9 to 5 jobs, that get squeezed. After every such market based rearrangements, we die a little. Each day.

this is not new rules. Random teams are generated for all the users who miss out on team entry for whatever reason from day 1.
