Family Pressure

Maharani, oh boy, well, that is like part of our culture. Since you are a bit of Mississippi Masala type, you will be doing a favor to the prospective lookers by giving them a little piece of you mind. Next time when they come “see” you, tell them to take a hike, and that their Chanda is not worth the Jut’ee on your feet! Show some attitude my friend. Set some standards.

Sighhh well I talked to my mom last night. Did everything some of you adviced me and it did kinda work. She says she will let me finish up with my bachelors. She also told me that larkay walay are ready to wait till I get graduated, and mangni they can do it afterwards. She said it was a sort of a "haan". GOSH! I still don't even want a "haan" from either side. I mean that means whenever that dude and his family visits lahore (which will be on EID because they are back in Denmark). They will always visit us......you know all that stuff. And then my mom was like when he comes back here get to know him a lil bit. She was like no pressure or anything just see if you LIKE HIM......

So now I decided, no harm in getting to know him (I mean he is kinda hot). And then I still got sometime from mom. So then I can make my final decision after I get to know him. And IF it works out who knows you all will be invited to my wedding......BUT for right now....I am just focusing on studies and getting to know him....."no strings attached"

SO WHAT DO YOU PPLE THINK?

PS: NYA unkil....great adivce I think all the girls should do that in lahore who are pressurized to get hitched with some paindo they don't even know.

LM-i thought you were in the states? kher, anyways, yeah for you! I hope inshallah this all works out for u in the end  g’luck!

Quick! To the patent office, Robin!

LM been there done that, whenever my dear mother even mentions a guys name I go nuts, I am 24 and I love it. I am not thinking about marriage, not now and I don't know when. BUT if I would to get married hell NO I will not marry someone that comes knocks on my door, someone who I don't know, only what I've heard about him, sorry IF I would get married I would want to know him before hand then he can come and knock on my door, but now anyone who does is sent back empty handed.

good luck..........it's always good to keep the lines of communication open............

LM-how are u going to finish ur bachelors then? :( you have to stay in Pakistan??? are u ever coming home? Sorry, this doesnt make it better, but if i had been tricked like that, i would be bringing the house down.

LM, that sounds great!! I'm so glad your mom listened to you. Wish you all the luck. :)

LM I'm sure everything will work out for the best.
