SOME people, yes, but some tend to have multiple children because they are uneducated about birth control and/or have no ready access to it. there are plenty of families with unwanted children in pakistan, for eg, because of these reasons. not everyone has multiple children so they can go out in the fields and work. plus, for those who do, having multiple children isn’t the answer to curing their poverty anyway. its a much more complicated issue and it doesn’t require 10 children to resolve it.
also please don’t generalize about why our parents and grandparents had multiple kids. just because we’re pakistani, it doesn’t automatically means we all grew up poor and working in the fields lol. i have a feeling you might be in for some serious culture shock when you fly in for your wedding
