PCG give it a rest, ok your mamoo disturbed your well settled family environment :) its just looks like small clash of civilization here.

yours and their family will not change overnight according to each other hence all the little problems :)

if they decided to stay with you or near you in future, they will take longer to learn and live the way you want them to live and behave. that is if they want to stay in US, if they live far from your family, it will be faster for them to learn and behave!

agree with mamof3 , your mom is the link between you and your uncle, she should take a lead and fix that. normally its otherway around ie sala's get hard time from hubby of sister but here your father a bit too easy and didnt even show his displeasure in anyway.

Seriously, PCG, your uncle isnt going to change...because why should he???

Its your mom who has to show him how and stop treating him like "baby brother who I will take care of forever". Until then, he wont change and its his children who are ultimately payin the very high price.

I remember an old thread when PCG was commanding her father for leaving his extending family because they do not "respect" his wife.

I think it is time to mom return the favor.

By the way when one marries always face this problem that woman would find all sort of problem with MIL, but on their family side the too much accommodating.
