Re: Falling hair

Nioxin. :-)

Research on the brands out there and this is one of the leading brands that could potentially treat hair losses with minimal side effects. It encompasses a class of "8 types". On it's website, it will ask you your type of hair and match your needs with one of the kits. It's introductory kit comes with cleanser, scalp therapy and scalp treatment. It is designed for your scalp and rubbing it daily while massaging your hair with each one of the pieces mentioned above will help your hair grow shinier, softer and you will notice hair growth in areas where only your scalp was visible.

And then there are lots of other and proven methods too, in the thread link by FrozenFire.

Re: Falling hair

put Oil on :biggthumb:

Check to see if u have a hormonal imbalance or anaemia =) even dandruff causes hairfall so make sure u cure that if u have any! Avoid using shampoo's with chemicals in them, switch to a milder shampoo such as baby shampoo. Take folicron or any iron supplements..and calcium as well as calcium helps u're body absorb iron. (a tablespoon of honey every day is great too!)

Oil u're hair..but just the scalp and dont massage it too much!

Good luck!

Re: Falling hair

Estrogen has an impact on this problem. After delivery of a child, many women have thinning hair because the estrogen level drops pretty quickly. Also during menopause. Or hormone imbalance.

If u are in the US or Canada, there is a shop by the name of Sally's beauty supplies...They sell a hair system by the name of Nutri-ox..its a three step system just like Nioxin...Cleanser, conditioner and leave in treatment...

I have been using it for months now...and it worked wonders for me...My hair is a lot more fuller...not losing any...and it actually increases your hair growth...and its 1/3 the price of Nioxin....

Re: Falling hair

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes iron-rich foods as well.

Re: Falling hair

no oil please...do not clog your pores.

dhobi is totally right....get Nioxin...its a bit pricer but it really does help....do not mix n match...use shampoo+conditioner according to the hair type

Re: Falling hair

you could be lacking vitamins. be sure to take your multi-vitamins along with some vitamin B-complex vitamins if you are not doing so already. see if you see any change after 6 weeks.

another thing you can do is get your thyroid checked....see an endrocronologist (sp?) for this not the primary care doctor ( they dont do extensive tests for thyroid). My sister had problems for many years with thinning hair...she lost loads! finally she decided to do something about it ....she found out she has an overactive thyroid and is now on medication for it. Her hair stopped falling out since she has been treated for it.

biotin is a vitamin...i believe it is included in the "nature made" B-complex supplements as well. yes I also heard that biotin is great for preventing hair loss.
