Re: Fair n Lovely/Stillman's/Bleach.. (merged threads)

Has anyone noticed that Stillman's claims to be made in the US, however it's not sold here (other than at desi grocery stores?) The truth is that Stillman's used to be popular in the early 1900's, but it was banned here in the 1920's after a bunch of women suffered mercury poisoning from it. I read this in a book about the FDA in university. I can't believe that something that's been known to be dangerous for 80 years is being used fervently in Pakistan. What a low mentality.

Archie's is filled with steroids. Which is how Michael Jackson got his luscious white skin (an auntie's dream, I'm sure.) My aunt used it a lot, and for years she had weird medical problems. Her eyes and tear ducts were constantly in trouble, her skin had a weird look to it. One of my best friends used it a lot and she blames it for her health problems that led to a miscarriage. Sure lots of college girls in Pakistan use it, but they will suffer from some malady later on. They'll be too stupid to make the connection though.

I am soooo SICK of aunties who ruin rishtas because the girl is not white enough. Generally, guys don't have a hang up about this. They don't even know the difference. You give them a woman and they'll be so excited from the idea of bewbs that they'll faint. It's their rotten mothers who implant these fitnabaz ideas of "she's not gori enough" into their heads. No wonder Pakistan is the sewer it is today. Even goray have moved beyond skin color and they're the original whiteys.
