Fair & Lovely and White Skin

Title of the thread is inspired by Muqa’s thread(Tibet Snow Creme).

In our culture white skin/gora rang is treated well than any other colors. It is also noticed that gori rangat is demanded during rishta process by the moms of guys.

On the other hand, media does not promote harmony among white/wheatish/brown/black colors. All advertisements(fari and lovely, tibet snow, nivea etc) are targeted to prove that while skin is the only color to survive(getting job, baat pakki, model etc) in society.

Do these cremes ever work?

What is your take on this issue?

Rishta process = rang gora :mad:

I dont understand why everyone is crazy about white skin? I read somewhere ’ sanwli rangat hai zyada kashish ( attraction) hoti hai ’

And no I don’t think so all these creams works, agar creams Mai Asar houta to pakistan Mai koi sanwla/kala na houta :smiley:

I listened to this song…promotion of brown rang is rare…most songs actually promote gora skin tone.
