Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

I saw a thread on face whitening so I thought to ask about fair and handsome creams. Anyone know of any male relatives who have tried this? . I’ve not thought of this recently but I’ve had some rishtas that did not go well and often I get taunts from my family about my skin. I’m the darkest Pakistani in my family especially among guys.I get teased by my cousins and told no pakstani girl will marry me. This has tempted me to think about trying this. I tried my sisters fair and lvely as a child. It did not work. I wonder if this will make a difference. What do you think? Could it make my appearance more appealing to females?

I do not endorse whitening generally and generally I don’t agree with whitening for women or even men because I believe everyone’s skin colour is beautiful. I would not even consider it for myself if not for all the random comments.

Sometimes the pain of being different just gets to you.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

I know this isn't what you're looking for BUT I'll risk it anyway -

Don't focus on the color of your skin, rather the health of it and you.

I've seen some seriously beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful women who are dark and rock it. Look at our Miss America. Is she fair or even close to it?

Develop some confidence and that only comes from being the best you can be.

Self esteem and confidence are the ONLY things you will ever need.

go for a sixpack......

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

ignore your parents if your happy with your skin colour stick to it dont lighten it and risk your health for their happiness plus even if you do lighten it sooner or later they may find something else to pick on you for do you want to continuously change yourself just to please others? Just tell them you love your skin colour and you dont want to be with a girl who is shallow enough to reject you for it anyway :)

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

Yes I know someone personally who's used this cream for 5 years now. Initially we did notice that his skin was 'glowing' and was more even(2-3 months) BUT he wasn't that milky white dude that this cream claims to do. And now he's got the worst acne ever ! Trust me he was much more handsome before using this.

And I don't think that skin colour is a that big deal for desi men compared to desi women.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

I agree health of skin is more important. I know there are lot of beautiful dark skinned girls and girls have this worse. I am a guy and I have not seen any dark skinned Pakistai male celebrity. Are there any?

On the colour thread a lot of people said if they had choice they would choose a fairer person. I want to improve my chances.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

I'm trying to . Got to compensate with my other qualities i think

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

That is what i should do. It's just hard being darkest in my family and people openly saying what happened there. I can't imagine how it is for girls. I can accept my skin and the colour it is but even on the colour thread all things people would choose the fairer person.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

Most of the women on the thread chose darker guys

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

How bad was the acne? Was it something he had gotten over? Had he tried using fair and lovely before? I don't know of its just for girls I'm doing this. Girls have it worse no doubt and I'd like to meet a darker skinned Pakistani girl. I feel it's more my parents, being the darkest dude in my family, teasing from cousins saying they won't marry a darker skinned dude and just wanting to fit in.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

u shud go 4 healthy and bright skin instead of making ur complexion fair.use ubtan everyday it vl givez u result bt after 2 months.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

I am sanwali...and I love it.

As for the celebs out there...

Dark skinned girls are still not preferred in Pak and even though you might find some darker women on Pak TV now...it wasn't the norm growing up. It took time for that concept to sink in.

Let me ask you...if there are no dark male Pakistani celebs...that means you're not attractive?

My mom is super fair and my dad is really dark. We ended up somewhere in the middle and I am the darkest out of all of my sisters. I am also aware of dark not being so pretty for many people...but I focus on keeping my skin healthy, fresh and in good condition. It doesn't matter if you're fair or not...you should be paying attention to the general health of your body - not the color or shape of it. Keeping it clear of marks, acne, using good products to promote a fresh and healthy glow versus being white.

I know people get tired of hearing this because society is working against you.

But society is made up of people like you and me...and if we don't accept ourselves...neither will anyone else.

The single most attractive thing I find in a man is confidence in himself...he knows he's awesome and that's about all there is to it.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

really? Are you sure. . I thought a lot said dark skin is nice but if we had choice we'd chose fair skinned guy. I can't blame them it's society. The only place I'd be preferred is maybe white girls and maybe some Arab/desi girls who go against trend or have darker complexion. Otherwise preference for white skin is strong in Asia and middle east.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

thanks for advice.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

thanks for sharing for me I'd see sanwali rang as fair. I'm glad people are becoming more accepting on tv although things can be improved. You're right confidence is important and I don't talk these issues in real life . I just question why we are taken to believe is automatically beautiful and what does the fairness industry really achieve?

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

Most girls like fair boys. I guess i dont blame them. will I ever find someone who likes me ? http://www.paklinks.com/gs/life-and-relationships/624647-how-important-is-skin-colour-for-pakistani-girls-would-dark-skin-be-undesirable.html

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

See in Pakistan and other Asian countries...the fairness industry is huge. Who doesn't want to be fair over there?

Here...we have the tanning industry that seems to be obsessed with making people dark and as golden brown as possible.

Its ALL in your head buddy...the day you think you're awesome...so will others. Don't just think it...believe it and live it.

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

Does anyone else think that the title Fair and Handsome sounds worse than Fair and Lovely...like cheezier....and sadder?

Re: Fair and handsome cream? Do you know anyone who uses it?

Darker skin, in general, ages better than lighter skin. Have you seen Black people who are like 80 and don't look a day above 40. Appreciate this about your skin.

How much lighter do you wanna be? Michael Jackson lighter? Cuz that will just draw negative attention to you.

Or even if you want to 1-2 shades lighter.....do you realize you'll have to maintain it because the sun and age will darken skin. So if you apply ubtan or Fair and Handsome or other bleaching agents like honey/milk....you will have to apply them with regularity and wear sunscreen each time you go out. If you opt for chemical peels ...they make your skin even more sensitive to the sun so sunblock is a must. You have to keep up with it...and it can be hassle.

The people who are criticizing you right now tor things beyond your control won't quit if you become fair. You can bet on them making remarks down the road about your receding hairline, weight gain, gray hair, etc and they won't let you down. I'm telling you from personal experience..because I've encountered people like that..even among family.

The next time your parents or cousins make remarks about your skin color...tell them to take up your skin color with Allah the one who created you and while they're at it, they should pray to Him for some class and consideration for others. Shut them up that way; Sometimes it works.
