That's good, ukpk. I am sure he must have loads of overseas customers. If you don't mind can you please share the price with us? Also, what kind of jewelry did you wear with that one?
the family believes in gold only...no colours, no stones etc etc and it was bought before i ordered the outfit....bought in the uk, classical gold only heavy gaani set and other stuff, all matching, with some nude pink diamonds in it, luckily it went brillianlty well with the outfit colours...
-the price was at our discretion...i was thinkin of both currencies and what was available on the market at that time for that price etc etc etc....so.. in Rs.... more than 100,000.... but i think now it was worth it...because it was made unique for me(i had some changes made to the garments eg, rather than sleevless, 3/4 sleeves and a chemise etc etc etc)...and you wont find that kind of classy stuff anywhere on the market at all...been there...had a look with no luck...and everone noted the same...
I only registered here so i could forward my opinion regarding fahad hussayn and the design youre looking at...
I got married recently in july in pak, i ordered a fh outfit and it is the same one youre looking at only with the coat cut in the middle. the design above is adpated from that original that i ordered. I ordered from the uk, without having seen it or anything. I have to say though, he did not dissapoint at all. the colours are brilliant, the work is excellent and intricate and the lehenga although the work seems halka it is actually to the contrary! very good, heavy work, made on time too! honestly! it was a v big risk you can imagine but alhamdulillah it turned out great! its a beautiful outfit and everyone loved it. the only thing is he is pricey, but its worth it!
i would go for it!
hope that helped.
No pics! Believe it or not!
Sorry!
But as a matter of trust...i wouldnt register just to say something like that...and in the holy month of ramadan too! Just thought i would share that with you as i was really impressed by his work...
is that hmmm @ me??!!!
if yes then... seriously i dont have pics... I observe the veil etc...
if not then ignore this!
anyway, im not into this kinda stuff so this will be the last post!
Just wanted to share a nice experience...
and if you do decide to go ahead with him... then ask him about the recent uk clent he had... im sure he will verify!
that's all folks...

not orange???!!!....
the colours of that outfit are a range of champagne, coral pink, rose pink, dull gold
^ukpk. this is why people were telling rabia it would be preferable for her to see the outfit first in person or have someone else take a look at it. they look very different in the photoshoots and you can't judge the real colours/shades or the workmanship.
there was another bride supposedly wearing FH a while back and lots of people thought it was a copy (we still don't know for sure) as it looked really quite different. personally, i think everything that made it look stunning in the professional FH pics was lost.

that's very true...
But if you ask the designer the detail of the materials and work and colours, he will tell you, you can even change the colour to whatever you prefer using using a professional colour swatc... I am assuming the orange colour she mentioned is from her own judgement, ie he hasnt said that!
and youre right in saying that your average layman photo does look different to that of his pics...but speaking from experience now, the pics you have picked out are actually the very true colours of the garments! the stunning aspect is deffo prob lost in your normal pics but it isnt lost in the real life face to face experience!!
if something looks blah in "normal" pictures than its probably not that stunning to begin with
a truly gorgeosu outfit shows through in normal AND professional pix

If anything, 'normal' pictures will give you the best idea of the outfit. Not advertisements where everything is done in a way to make the the outfit look as good as possible; angles, lighting, using software to enhance and retouch.
As for what you say ukpk - the problem is having to pay a deposit to be able to get a proper a look at anything if you're not in the same country. From the designers PoV that's fair enough. From the customers PoV that's risky as you may not like what you end up seeing. So if a person is unsure the best thing would be to make an attempt to see the outfits in real life or get someone to do it on your behalf :)
Mods, I think it has been a worthwhile discussion but maybe all these posts need their own thread?

but the colors people tell you aren't always the same color you would have in mind. Even colors like shocking pink and rust can seem like different colors to different people.

all valid points...
but speaking from recent, first hand experience, everything was just how it should have been for me alhamdulilah...
3.2 lakh :o .. thats alot.. i told him my range i.e. not more than 1lac.. n he was like ok no problem select any of the outfit u like.. maybe thats coz he is my friend's friend.. :s
i called him yesterday to mail me his designs par didnt recieve any help.. let me call him again today.. will post as soon as i get them.
Why is it that people are okay with paying 1000's for a designer handbag or an Italian/American designer's outfit but when it comes to Pakistani designer they dont splurge and spoil themselves...
^ i think they do... for example someone as established like nilofer shahid of meeras charges 5-7 lakhs for a bridal and people do pay...
a lot factors decide the WORTH or a designer...
it's their experience, the duration of their work, if they have some something NEW, their clientelle and as a cycle effect their price tooo....
someone like fahad should charge 1-1.50 max! someone like memoona manan makes a full on gorgeous swarivkis filled intricate bridal for 2- 2.50 , someone like karma and hsy still do in ranges of 1-2 lakhs... nilofer goes upto 5-7 and Umar Sayeed upto 11 because hes JUST PLAIN CRAZY ahhahaha
as for fahad, i know him - and hes a nice guy, very busy and he hasnt got a very strong team behind him but hes very pationate - he is not qualified in fashion but has a great aesthetic thats y hes where he is...

the main reason why italian/american designers have the high prices is because they do marketing all over the world... i dont see that happening with pakistani designers.
in any case, many people do pay high prices for pakistani designers as well.
They are nothing great in my opinion, or 'different'.. alot of these designs are what you would see normally anywhere. Why is every other person in Pakistan becoming a designer? Even a tailor these days calls himself a fashion designer.
