Forget annual beauty pageants, I see beauty contests going on among women on a daily basis! Its underlying yet so obvious!
Who’s better looking? Who’s got better lips, better hair, better body, better clothes, better jewellery, better hand bags… Its all about being better!
My secondary school here in Ireland was an all girls school and I could never understand why the girls dressed up sooo much! Why put on so much makeup, why spend an hour every morning straightening your hair? Who did they want to impress? (I know its not always about impressing others, girls like to dress up for themselves too, to feel confident etc.)
It wasn’t until I got to college and mentioned the same question to a friend and she said **“Apparently, women dress up to compete with other women.” **
And its so true! If there was just one girl in a class full of boys, she probably wouldn’t even bother with all that grooming… but the minute another girl walks in, the famous beauty contest would start to take place!
Some girls would even feel jealous of their own sisters! Why can’t we just get along? And plz ladies, if you’re one of the beauty pageant participants… plzz stop!
Women dress up for each other...not other men. Ive noticed most men dont notice the shade of lipstick you're wearing or your new handbag...they could care less.
We do it to show off to women who also know exactly what to look for or notice on another woman.
Its very true, My best friend thats getting married this year, Rushed to get married because she thought i was i said im gonna leave it till next year or the year after i dont think im ready for it atm.. Next thing she said shes doing it next year. But her inlaws said no this year or nothing (haha) But its pretty pathetic considering she copied me with the same name bf (and same nickname for him) yawn AND shes always saying 'we look alike dont we' er nah... we dont darling plz get over it already!!
for men wouldnt care about the cut of your clothes or the lipstick you were wearing or how expensive your jewellery looked. esp for your better half or your bf, they would find you pretty even when you are in a t-shirt and a shalwar lol .

LGS and Kinnaird in lahore oveflowing with hair straightened eyes made fully dressed girls and you are sigh.
