facial process

what is the normal facial procedure?
i mean which product is to use first and afterwards?

Re: facial process

well what products do u use??...

Re: facial process

1) Scrub
2) cleanser

Try these step, but make sure after cleanser massage your face with moisture then steam the face for atleast 15 min then apply mask (which ever prefered i.e peel-off or wash-off)

3) toner
4) moisture

Hope this will help.

Re: facial process

My first facial wasn't exactly a great experience mainly because I ended up with a severely burnt face and am still suffering from the new skin that's emerging and the old burnt one that's peeling off. it has left my skin SUPER, SUPERRRR dry!!! And let me tell you the cause of it all: facial right after waxing. I never get my face waxed but the weirdo I went to did it right before my facial against my 'wishes' and well, here are the consequences. So if you wax or thread, do not do any facial for atleast a few days right after. Also, make sure you use GOOD products especially if you have sensitive skin.

Re: facial process

Cleanse, exfoliate, steam, use a facial mask, and then moisturize with a good cream.

Re: facial process

apparently...steaming is a no-no...i guess the frequent use of steam tends to enlarge the pores....thus making them visible..
if you exfoliate and cleanse(twice a day..or whatever is appropriate) there is no need to open your pores...
also stay away from heavy creams...since they tend to sit over the pores...clogging them...hence the need to open them and manually clean the mess..
the less the better....(and that also means...no makeup unless in dire need)
exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate....thats about it...

Re: facial process

What sort of facial are you talking bout??

If its one of those 5 minute at home facials then You can do it in the shower.

Instead of a your normal face wash, use a cleanser at the beginning of the shower, the heat will open your pores.
Scrub your face right at the end of the shower cause your skin will be soft with open pores and scrubing will be more effective.

Follow either by a Toner if you are in a hurry, or a mask.

If you dont have a toner, just use perfume, works the same.

Re: facial process

^^chanda_kh, facials aren't done on a daily basis...they're occasional so steaming doesnt hurt plus a lot of people suffer from stubborn blackheads and the only way to make it easy to get them out is by steaming. I think it's the scrubs that if used too often can enlarge the pores.

Re: facial process

which is why...you shouldnt scrub....use glycolic products instead...they exfoliate gently....yet effectively...

Re: facial process

yeah i read somewhere about glycolic products but dunno where to get them from...which ones do you use??

Re: facial process

i get them from this website..
www.platinumskincare.com
lifesaver!!

Re: facial process

I know that my cleanser contains glycolic acid.. but are they suitable for all age groups?

Re: facial process

Hmm, the normal facial has to have these steps:

  1. Wash face with Face Wash
  2. Cleansing with cleansing water.
  3. Cleansing with Facial Cream.
  4. Scrub.
  5. Steam.
  6. Mask.
  7. Astringent or Toner.
  8. Moisturizer.

As per the products, Freeman scrubs are really cool.

Re: facial process

MD Forte products are really good..i have been using them for a while...

Re: facial process

i think nothing works on blackheads....

Re: facial process

yes...Retinol does :)

Re: facial process

Get the blackheads patch, (sheet) they stick like sticker once you wet them put them on your nose (where mostly blackhead appears) then let them dry then peel them of. you'll be able to see the black stuck on the sheet and they appears to look like tiny hair sticking out. try it, you nose will be so clear and no black dots.

Re: facial process

Naaa, I dont agree with blackhead patch, they are no good. I have tried them myself. If you have 50 black heads, they will take out only 5. Best is to go to parour and get them out few times and then do weekly scrub for 2-3 minutes.

Re: facial process

And oh by the way...I am one of those VERY few persons who've never had a facial in their lives...but now I'm seriously considering getting one...can anyone suggest a good place in Lahore to go for a facial?

I've heard that Faceline in Shadman is particularly good...any suggestions?
