Facebook’s Important Launch on Thursday: What to expect
Here is a summary
I would be looking forward to facebook iPad and new photo sharing applictions, as well as music service.

I don’t really care for any of that, maybe because I am not a FB fanatic. The more complicated they make FB the more I am getting turned away from it.

I wish they ask for feedback from members to see what is it really that we want to c on FB :halo:.
I think it woud be cool if they can have a feature where we can get a list of our status updates for any particular month or even date we want.
p.s yes, im currently looking for a status update of mine from 2 mnths back which has apparently become a point of discussion in family 
and with my desired feature, it wud have just saved my precious time looking it up :halo:.

There was a feature that facebook rolled out mistakenly while doing testing. It called Timeline. Which was exactly what you are looking for. I have no idea what is its current status.
So going big to compete Different Giants. I am bit skeptical about few possible launches listed here. but lets wait and see.

i think i know what ur talking about but that wasn’t really what i m looking for! it only showed your most famous (as in most replied to) status updates but no dates as such 
. sometimes even now they have this thing where your status update from last year with same date as of the date ur using currently shows up and that is kinda neat though just not consistent so ya 
.

just for thsi reason i never delete comments/likes emails in my gmail .. since they are nicely isolated from my inbox. So whatever status i have to find, I can find it easily ..

Watched a good part of the live coverage today where Zuckerberg unveiled the new features.
Quick Recap:
The end-user objectives are: Frictionless Experience, Real-time Serendipity, and Finding Friends Activity Patterns. New features include: Timeline with Apps integration, Lightweight Activity Tickers, and OpenGraph for activity patterns.
My opinion: the next gen facebook resembles a gameplay visualization of your life. It includes some wholesale changes that will take a little getting used to. With the new features, facebook is really competing head-on with Google+ by redefining product and market boundaries. “Value Innovation” at work!

Wouldn’t it be fun if we could go back in time and see our childhood with all the digital pictures and videos? How different would history (near history) have been if stuff like digital cameras, blogs, Facebook and Twitter had been there? Even as little back as 10 years ago (9/11/2001) when communication came to a standstill, things would have been drastically different.

So they want to be Kindle, Itune, Flicker, Youtube, Paypal and MSN at the same time?
Dont you think that they are taking an otherwise very good idea, a little too far.

a complete facebook revamp. Why do they keep playing with the morphed privacy settings, making things even more difficult to hide/unhide
