Facebook is just like internet; it can be good or a bad depending on how u use it; but just becoz u dunt use it doesnt mean its haram for others. I think u shld only put the pics that a na-mahram can see if u have any na-mahram in ur frndz.

The lady just had one side of the perspective, FB offers customization so u can change the setting even going as far hiding ur profile all up even from the searchs, about the pictures yea it is clearly haram in islam, den y consider it, But if u still so den y pin it up as a profil pic for the whole world to see , if someone stumbles upon ur profil name and pic thru another of ur contact's prof. Now if u r using it for a haram purpose , searching guys , adding them to ur list n all ya den it goes haram, but if it's just for the sake of family communication and ur friends now again who r ur gender den dat's not exactly haram. It's all inside an account n private dealing. Y u need to put up ur pix their for those to see who are ur namahram. The lady took one perspective n was right in a way. Islam tells us to stay away from any such thing that is suspicious and risks u getting involved into harm n haram acts, den y take a risk. That's y she said to stay away completely. But if u r extra careful fine then go ahead on ur own risk.
I don't c the space anywhere when Islam has put a bar there, namaharm interaction is in noway allowable in Islam n ifully take it . If some ppl cant take the truth ,now that's for all of those making idiotic posts here, they shud baq off rather than trying to come up with some color-coated lies and reasons to defend themselves or just merely putting up a cover there, or just openly admit dey r not ready to accept this certain thing that Islam ordered. with that many ifs a blanket statement that it is haram is simply idiotic and must be called as such.
