FaceBook Causing More Drama?

I think she edited it … I remember seeing the word hurt in there

:smack: @ copy my things …

so many things you girl can get pissed off and hurt

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

^ A girls wedding is the best day of her life, Ofcourse its gonna piss us off if some annoying thing copys us. Doesnt matter about other things, But wedding is different. Shame they dont have a life.

You can label pictures as "This past weekend", "Last Night's Bachelor Party", etc. People check each other's profiles on a daily basis, sometimes, so really easy to piece two things together, especially if you know people also featured in the same pic...you can call them and ask when that event was, etc.

People have gotten fired for that sort of thing.

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

I know a couple who broke up over Facebook. He didn't like his girl going to certain places and as it happens her friends tag her in some pictures which he then saw. That was the last straw for him

if I edited it, it would’ve said so in a tiny endnote at the bottom of my post…for someone who has been here for close to 10,000 posts, you sure dont know a lot about the mechanics of GS :S

thanks for the sweet words, MB

Anyways my point wasn’t to derail the thread…I had to tell the story in order to explain how people use FB to get to others, and the best example I had was my cousin. People also use a lot of passive-aggressive status messages, like:

“____ wishes SOME people could get a life”

or ‘vaguebook’ (Urban Dictionary: vaguebooking)

As for the whole posting pics and people getting in trouble as a result, well…i dont feel bad for people who get busted like that because facebook has limited settings available. I knew a guy who was Muslim and also drank but hid it from his family…he was so stupid that rather than disable the ability for people to see his tagged photos, he would just untag the ones in which he was drinking. It led to so many problems because sometimes, the first thing people would do after a night of drinking would be to upload drunk pictures on facebook and he would be passed out or hungover and not notice until the next afternoon when everyone had already seen them.

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

That's another thing. What about pictures of yours that get posted on facebook without your knowledge and consent?

Like who knows who takes pics of you at some dawat, even when you are NOT hung over, and posts them? Are you comfortable with that?

I have a friend who LOVES to post pics on her facebook, and she will make it a point to take pictures with friends where she looks better than the friend - pics where the friend might have closed their eyes or momentarily looked retarded. Then she tags them, on top of that. I had to friggin untag myself from a few, but was peeved that she still had them up. It's like...people can see that you know!

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

One person got fired from her job after claiming on facebook that her boss is a “pevert who hardly knows anything” something along this line.

What she did forgot while writing this was that her boss, whom she called a pervert, was on her friends list…:smack: lol…hahah

Her read the post the very same day and told her “don’t bother coming in tomorrow”…

I mean how stupid can this girl get? Wasn’t she aware of the fact that her boss might read her comments? Some people lack some serious brain cells.

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

^ Oh man, very stupid indeed.

Going along with PCG... what would you do if you posted pictures on fb, that are limited to only your closest friends. One of your friends asks you to get rid of a picture (for no reason, whatsoever, she looks beautiful in it) that she isn't tagged in, and it's set on limited access anyways. And you're in that pic too and that's the only decent photo of you. Would you delete it or not listen to her and keep it?

LMAO. i remember that…
it was this one right?

oh wow...

i will save it and crop my self from it :D

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

Why do relatives feel the urge to add you? I hate it when my uncles and aunts keep adding me. Gets annoyign when old people get on fb

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

Why do people get annoyed at relatives adding them? not even the old ones..but those who are your age or a little younger?
I dont find it a big deal to add family members...teh way i see it i have nothing to hide or nothing to be ashamed of...majortiy of my contact is via emails/Pms any way.

Well I don't like sharing my life with my relatives since I am not close to them. I keep putting all of them on my blocked list and then they call to see if I got their friend request..
And yes I have plenty to hide from my relatives.

Re: FaceBook Causing More Drama?

Kaash meri zindagi itni fun hoti :D

hehe it's not really about fun but I am sure my relatives wouldn't approve of my lifestyle. I don't care what they think but it's just scary when they go behind your back and complain to your parents, or spread the word about my activities.

why do people do this?? i dont understand... they'll have multiple pics.. wont put up the rest, btu the one where ur looking crap, they'll put it up. Its conspiracy.. ive voiced my concerns a number of times to the other half... uff

Not in my friendships or relationships. Though I have an account, I don't really use it much. On average I sign in once or twice a week. I don't have any personal pics. The first time I used a profile pic was back in September when a fellow Dreamcast fan requested that everyone change their profile pics for its 10th anniversary. I haven't even bothered adding many of my real life friends to it. The most my profile gets updated is if I take one of those quizzes or decide to share some links.

i would be annoyed if anyone who is not close to me add me on facebook. it doesn't matter if they are relative or work friend, or college friend.

i have a friend who went to pakistan this summer and got married to her cousin. they are from a city in pakistan which isn't like karachi or lahore. means you can't hang out with girls as freely. so her husband's brothers, and male cousins got really excited to have a bhabhi from "amreeka" who have "amreekan" friends so they started adding every single girl from her friends list, and started sending those crappy, flity fwd sms/text jokes or love quots. i never added any of them but they kept sending me those gross stuff, one day i got so sick of it that i threatened them that if they don't stop i will get their parents phone number from my friend and call their parents. thanks god it stopped them.

Lol haha, i think yeh it was this one.

I read it in a newspaper long time ago…over 3 months ago.

This girl was, and i believe, still is a complete a***…hahah:omg:
